Timothee Chalamet needs to be in this. I'll see it 10x in theatres if he is.

I can imagine some young teen playing Ghostface, killing off his classmates (the usual) and stumbling upon Sidney, not knowing who she is

Sidney being targeted by 1-2 more serial killers is highly unrealistic. She should be a guidance counselor at a high school or something, where Kirby's younger sister and her group of friends attends school, and they're the ones getting murdered.

Have Sid hide out like in 3 and have her set some ridiculous traps for GF. Maybe give her an old granny wig too.

That's what im saying though. Imagine her thinking she's being targeted, but in actuality, the killer doesn't even know her, and is just after his/her classmates. I doubt Sidney would be some teacher or counselor though. Just bring her back in a Laurie type role from Halloween (2018) where she hears about new murders happening, and she tries to take them down.

Kind of a farfetched idea since whoever the killer would be would probably be somewhat familiar with the previous murders, but w/e.

Idk what other kind of storyline they can come up with, without being repetitive. Unless they bring out that old rumor of her or someone from the original cast being the new killer.

I think Scre5m will be a passing of the torch, as much as I want to see Gale and Sidney keep on doing these.

Well, the movie probably won't start filming until September/October and it's usually a whole year from filming to release.

There's still plenty if time to film Halloween Ends. Halloween 2018 was shot entirely in about a month (just like the original), with a couple of reshoots later on. And they filmed in January of 2018, 9 months before the film was supposed to be released. No reason to think they couldn't do it again. It's not a big budget film.

We have 17 months until Halloween Ends is supposed to be released. That's plenty of time to shoot the movie.

Same can be said for Scream 5. Horror movies dont take too long to make.

Hell, look at "Scream 2."

"Scream" comes out on December 20, 1996, is a huge sleeper hit (meaning it took a little time before it got big), eventually got greenlit for a sequel in early 1997, which was shot, edited, and was released on December 12, less than a year after its predecessor. "Scream 5" can come together very quickly if the studio wants it to.

Or the Friday the 13th films. They basically had a new one every year back in the 80's.

All this talk about Scream 3 being crap and no one has even mentioned the voice impersonation machine which was just the dumbest ****ing thing. For me, Scream 3 is a massive step down from the first two with its lame comedy, annoying characters, and gorey kills with laughably little gore.

In my opinion, 4 is leagues better than 3 and just a few tweaks away from bothering the first 2 in the rankings. Had a fair few neat ideas and some likeable characters. I do the unfair thing of crediting Williamson with all the good bits and Kruger with the less good bits scattered throughout.

All this Scream 3 talk I did some googling to refresh my brain a little and I find it crazy that Matthew Lillard was approached to return as Stu, who survived part 1 and is in prison, and the killers were supposed to be high school kids that he orchestrated almost like a cult to do the killings. Columbine happened so they nixed it...then this plot became Williamson’s show The Following.

Didn’t Sid say in part 2 though that Billy and Stu were dead? Obviously Billy’s death was a big plot point in part 2, but not so much Stu’s...

Speaking of which, Mathew Lillard recently said he would love to return in Scream 5, but is not sure how that would work

Maybe he could play as Stu’s twin brother, seeking revenge on Sidney?

For all of you who want Sidney to be the killer (which is already a horrible idea) I can almost pretty much guarantee that Neve won’t sign on to the movie if Sid is going to be the killer. The character of Sidney Prescott is very near and dear to her heart and she’s very protective of her, I don’t think she would approve of taking Sidney down that road and would probably pass on doing the movie if that’s the idea. So you can probably stop suggesting it as there’s very little chance of that idea being used.

I love how some people in this forum are so catty.

And no, she doesn’t have to “tell me that” for me to make that assumption. You can read any interview over the years with Neve about the movies and her close relationship to the character to pretty much assume that she would NOT APPROVE of that plot development.
