This movie could have had a more pricey conversion and had a small theatrical re-release. It would have made back its money.

Apologies if i overlooked this or not, but was this recent transfer off of the 2010 disc or the initial 2008 blu ray?

I agree! I just scrolled up to take a glance. That slip is quite effective. Seems just as appealing. The head prop gives me the creeps. The predator just looks bug-eyed and bonkers.

I finally caved in and pre-ordered the Limited Edition Head Package, usually I wait for price drops, but I don't think that will happen with this baby.
I found a couple of pics posted on SD and also read elsewhere that the 2D and the 3D versions are new 4K transfers.

Neither. This is a new 2013 4K master.

It's no where to be found on amazon us. I thought it was an american film.

UK also got the remastered Terminator six months or so before the US.

I'll double dip if the new transfer is good. I didn't go for the Ultimate Hunter Edition a few years back, but a 4K transfer sounds worthwhile.

It's awesome that Fox are going all out with the transfer for this release, it's a shame that it took this long to do it lol

They must have realised that they screwed up the UHE transfer if they're doing a new transfer from scratch.

I'm guessing because it's a 4K transfer, it was sourced from the OCN. Is there any confirmation if that's the case?

4k sounds really good, hopefully they did their homework this time around after all screwups.

Tempering my expectations until I see it. 4K or no, still plenty of ways for Fox to screw it up.

There's going to be a 2D disc included which will contain the new transfer as well.

Thankfully it's not a Jurassic Park or Top Gun scenario where the 3D disc had the new transfer whilst the 2D disc that was included had the old transfer.

So did Germany and us Aussies as well. I picked it up as soon as it hit shelves in a exclusive slipcover with a booklet.

I hope they bring a seperate new 2D disc, without the 3D disc.
Identical at the Ultimate Hunter Edition(menu, extras, etc,), except the video transfer.

Any idea how Predator can look ?
