Been on a Bronson kick over the last year or so...some of his movies have held up well, some not so much. The DW series, 10 to Midnight, Death Hunt, Chato's Land, White Buffalo are ace...but Messenger Of Death,Kinjite,Assassination are average DTV fodder, instantly forgettable. Disliked From Noon Till Three as well, surprisingly, thought i'd like that one. Strange movie

I don´t like "The White Buffalo" at all. One of his worst movies ever, in my opinion. I also don´t like "Chino" and "CaboBlanco".

I like "The Mechanic", Mr Majestyk, Breakheart Pass and Hard Times.
Bronson´s favorite movie of his own is "Riders on the Rain" which he made in France. I also like that movie.

We don´t have to talk about "Death Wish" and "Once upon a time in the west". They´re classic movies and the Sergio Leone movie is one of the best if not the best western of all time.

I also like "From Noon Till Three". Unusal Bronson movie but I always liked the movie.

I picked up the new Death Wish II special edition from Shout at Best Buy last week.

It was only $17.99

The one main extra is the commentary track from Death Wish historian Paul Talbot. I listened to a little of it and he's very talkative and informative.

He goes into great detail about the infamous rape scene that was cut from the R rated version. I have to feel a little sympathy for Ms. Gallargo/Drago and went she went through shooting that scene.

I love Riders on the Rain. The UK DVD isn't bad, but I hope to see a Blu release one day!

Not sure how you could forget any movie in which Charlie shoves a dildo up a guy's ass!

"Breakout" would be good though I already have the ITunes 1080p transfer and therefore I can say that "Breakout" looks amazing in HD.

Another possibility would be "The Stone Killer" also a Columbia title.

Seems to be a new (and disappointingly) recurring trend with Olive. AMERICAN NINJA 2 is mono on Olive's release, whereas the 88 Films release is stereo. Going back to last year, ALLAN QUATERMAIN & THE LOST CITY OF GOLD was also mono in the Olive Blu-Ray, and that's a stereo film also. I would've thought the problem was on MGM's side, but not if there are stereo audio tracks on the UK Blus of MESSENGER and AMERICAN NINJA 2.

At any rate, thanks for the tip, I ordered the UK release.

It's a real shame that it was 101 Films that released Stone Cold in the UK as they used the same mono track as Olive.

I'm sure 88 Films would've asked for the original stereo as they clearly did with Ninja 2 and Messenger.

Just finished Caboblanco. The audio was a bit harsh at times but the video was fine.

The question is whether the US-Blu-ray has got a different master than the German Blu-ray because the picture quality of the German Blu-ray is not good at all.
