"Mr Majestyk" will come out in France at the end of September. They are going to release the movie in a mediabook(60 pages with rare photos).

By the way, recently the actress from "The Evil that Men Do" has died.
Her name was Theresa Saldana and she played the main female role.

That's very sad news, she survived a terrible stalking/stabbing attempt in the early 80's. RIP

Some news about the upcoming "Murphy´s Law" Blu-ray.

Twilight posted that picture on their facebook site and said that Kathleen Wilhoite did an audio commentary for that Blu-ray release. Great news.

I´ve just read in a German forum that "Love and Bullets" will be released on blu-ray this year.

As soon as I have a release date, I´ll inform you.

Just watched the Olive Films BD of KINJITE and noticed that the soundtrack is mono despite an Ultra Stereo credit at the end. Anyone else aware of this?

Someone mentioned elsewhere that Olive sometimes use mono tracks instead of stereo for some weird reason. Might be another example of that?

Well, that sucks!

It's a crazy blu world where stereo films are downmixed to mono and mono films are remixed to 5.1.

88 Films have just released Messenger of Death in the UK. I wonder if they use the stereo mix or the same mono mix as Olive?

Anyone pick up the new Death Wish II special edition from Shout today?

I saw that Best Buy has it for $17.99, but very few have it in stores. Amazon hasn't matched yet.

It says stereo on the audio specs on the back of the case but I've not tried it yet

That could be mistaken for dual mono.

How do you guys rate the BD transfers for MGM's DW 2,3 and 4?

I thought 4 was the least of the bunch, with some digital transfer issues not present in 2 & 3.

Interested to hear others opinions...

OK. I picked up 88 Films' Messenger of Death and it contains the original stereo audio. If you have the Olive Films release and it's indeed mono you may wish to upgrade.

I can tell you that Twilight will release Charles Bronson movies on blu-ray also next year.
