Similarly, The Delinquents was released in the US on 18th October 2023, but MUBI aren’t releasing it in UK cinemas until 22nd March!

Good, I saw Priscilla projected from 35mm in the cinema and loved the look of it so nice to see it's getting the 4K treatment.

Socktacular. These make BFI's ridiculously overpriced socks look like a steal. I wonder, which label is going to break that £20 barrier?

Wow, I never realized Mubi has an online store where you can buy their Blu-Rays. There only seem to be three for sale, though? I see Aftersun, Decision to Leave UHD and Passages.

Received my edition of The Kingdom and was blown away by the visual quality. First rate restoration.

Have watched the first series and the only difference I can recall is that when shown in cinemas I don't think there were any credits at the end of each episote, certainly not with Lars von Trier plugging the next episode. The whole series shown in one straight sitting with the credits at the beginning of each episode.

I also think that the opening credits are amongst the best ever created for a movie or limited series.

The entire cast is great but leading man Ernst-Hugo Järegård's performance is the best one in the series. Ironically, I happened to be in Sweden in 1998 and one evening when watching the local news which included a report and tribute to him because he had just passed away.

So, stupid question, but are the pink ratings logos printed on the insert? Or is the insert reversible?

I'm looking at important Priscilla 4k to NA but those logos absolutely mess with me.

Thanks

Checked one (Pleasure) and yes the rating logo is on the insert. The other side of the insert has an image from the movie and some ad copy, doesn't seem like it's meant to be flipped.

I finally found time to see Joachim Trier's "The Oslo Trilogy." The first two installments, in my opinion, paint the most accurate picture of alienation, despair, loneliness, and agony of any film I have seen to date. It was so simple to relate personally on so many levels, not necessarily to melancholy and loneliness, but to how I and many friends felt when we were young and lost in life.

"The Worst Person in the World" is undoubtedly the most popular installment. But I had a very difficult time rating it on Letterboxd. While there were numerous, however fleeting, moments of absolute brilliance, it did not move me to the same extent as the previous two installments. In some ways, I agree with the critique in that I thought they played it too safe and predictable. I also felt the nudity was often out of context and added solely for the purpose of it. I believe if Trier had directed it around the same time as "Oslo, August 31," it would have been a totally different film. Having said that, I truly enjoyed it, and I believe that subsequent viewings will just reinforce that sentiment.

What a delightful surprise! This release is easily one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. Please do yourself a favour and get a copy while you still can.

I would welcome any recommendations for similar films, preferably on Blu-ray.

Is there some way to follow new Mubi physical releases? They don't seem to list these on their website. Just discovered through Amazon that The Settlers will be released May 13.

Does anyone know, do MUBI releases actually ever run out of slipcovers? Never seen one without one, but curious if any of the earlier releases have been spotted without.

I saw First Cow slipless not long after release... but then again, the latest time I saw it it had one
