A Teaser Trailer too perhaps? Pretty please Marvel, I know you won't disappoint.

That's what I loved about Summer 2008. Got to see a trailer for The Incredible Hulk before watching Iron Man. It was the appetizer before the main course

Trouble in paradise? Dad a real tyrant?

http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/movies/...ins-78342.html

Seems that Hopkins isn't happy with hemsworth's acting skills & getting tired of filming in a studio.

I personally cannot shake the idea of hemsworth playing Thor, seeing him constantly reminds me he comes from a TV series like Home & Away & he just doesn't have the acting skills to pull Thor off, but, i will give him benefit of doubt until i see the movie.

It's like watching Twighlight & seeing robert pattison, just makes my head scream "CEDRIC DIGGORY!!" in a bad way. cause that's the character i see this actor most identifiable with.

hemsworth's Thor, may just make me remember his stint on a TV show

Default Thor Cameo Confirmed?

Source IGN - March 31, 2010 - Remember that Iron Man 2 featurette from earlier this month which supposedly had a brief glimpse of Thor's cameo in the film? Well, new chatter today just might be confirming the presence of the God of Thunder in the movie.

Comic Book Movie has stumbled upon a few tweets by Iron Man 2 Branding Consultant and Creative Director" (whatever that is) Gregory Littley, and this is what he had to say:

"Press shots should hit the 'net RIGHT around the timing/ release of #IRONMAN2. PS. It is THOR in the #IRONMAN2 trailer."

Huh. Now this could be deceiving, because Littley refers to the Iron Man 2 trailer -- not the featurette that had everyone buzzing at the beginning of March. But he later corrected himself to say that it was in fact the featurette he was talking about, and that Marvel wants to plant more Easter eggs in its movies that will lead up to The Avengers -- and not just fanboy-centric ones but also bits that will appeal to more mainstream audiences.

This, of course, assumes that a Branding Consultant and Creative Director knows what he's talking about. And the only thing that seems certain about this guy when looking at his Twitter feed is that he loves to tweet, and not just about Iron Man 2. Michael Lohan, Jesse James and Dancing with the Stars are some of the other topics which you can read about from him just today alone. This is where we get our superhero news from these days, so take it for what it is.

Meanwhile, Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, has been doing some talking lately and he told MTV that The Avengers should start shooting "next January or February." Damn, that's not that far away!

Agree...Hopkins needs to lighten up a bit...it's a Marvel film, not London Theater!

I agree, however if Hemsworth does indeed suck real bad then at least someone is speaking up about it.

A teaser would definitely be nice. Doesn't have to be spectacular, just something to hype the movie some.

They could even have just a very simple one like GS has suggested before.

Just a Black screen or one with just the hammer sitting there and dialog being heard from throughout the movie, calm dialog in normal scenes then building to some from action scenes or something and then some sort of big finish and then the movies logo with "MAY 2011"

I love really simple teasers like that. TDK did something like that with the Bat logo and it was fantastic.

Hopkins has a history of critiquing. I don't read much into what's being reported. He's also not historically used to working with as much green screen which would validate his complaint of not doing more location shooting.

Quote:
With most of the filming done, thankfully, The New York daily has reported that the all-father, Odin, Anthony Hopkins, has been criticizing Thor, Chris Hemsworth's acting ability.

"Anthony has not tried to hide his disapproval of Chris' acting skills," the insider says. "Chris is definitely the least-experienced actor on set, but he's trying. He respects Anthony a great deal, and it looks like he's trying to grin and bear all of his criticism."

The same can't be said of director Kenneth Branagh, who has apparently become annoyed after enduring Hopkins' criticism as well.

"Anthony keeps complaining that they're shooting too many scenes inside the L.A. studio and not enough on location," says the source, adding that the film, which is slated for release next year, has so many special effects that the cast is often in a studio against a green screen.

"He isn't used to this kind of work, and his pessimism is really starting to wear everyone down."

Reps for Hopkins and the film denied that the actor is displeased with Hemsworth and Branagh, but our insider adds that there have been other incidents of strife on the "Thor" production. According to the source, much of the cast and crew headed to New Mexico for a four-week shoot that has turned into six — and may go even longer.

"Everyone is cranky and frustrated that it's taking so long," says the spy. "But it's a very high-tech movie, and it just takes time to get things right."

I am not worried. Branagh will get this right.

That Dark Knight teaser was amazing. First voice of Ledger of Joker, I must have played that a million times that summer.

Me too! Teaser trailers are awesome. I think I will fly up the wall when the first Thor teaser/trailer hits.

I love Anthony Hopkins, but maybe someone should remind him of the disaster that was "The Wolfman." Definitely not one of Hopkins finest hours. I liked the movie, but at the same time, I was a little disappointed by it.

I have faith in Hemsworth as Thor and Branagh directing

hmm marvel must not be taking "thor" as a serious franchise if that's who they casted for Thor... he looks the part but (at this point) ... meh...

and... Branagh.... WT??? i thought he was cast with an acting role... and his directing feats... it seems like Thor would be sooo out of place for him (sure frankenstein... but.. ugh i dunno)

they'll have to reallllllly impress with the movie as a whole but that doesn't seem possible

Hopkins should've had more than enough practice while he was acting in Zemeckis' Beowulf. I don't see how motion capturing something and performing in front of a green screen is so different.

Default Rumors are false

Quote:
Co-star, Jaimie Alexander has posted her say on the Anthony Hopkins bashing Chris Hemsworth lie. Find out what she had to say.

If you don't know by now, New York Daily posted some hard false info, stating that on the set of Marvel's Thor, Anthony Hopkins(Odin) was causing trouble on the set, criticizing the film's lead, Chris Hemsworth. GossipCop has already knocked down the rumor, where Marvel themselves claim the info "100 Percent" false, and Anthony Hopkins reps, wife Stella Hopkins and are talking to their lawyers.

This didn't stop co-star, Jaimie Alexander, whose character in the film, Sif, is around Anthony & Chis a lot. She had this to say on the subject.

Quote:

"Anthony and Chris get along very well and have amazing chemistry. NO divas here! Tony makes us laugh all day long. Both are great men.

"Tony and Chris share such a humble spirit. They both have immense talent and it's incredible to see them side by side. xo
about 1 hour ago
What soothing words. I think this really confirms the true ambiance on set for Marvel's Norse adaption. Everything will be EPIC about this film, from Thor shadowing over the all-father Odin, to the battle epic scenes we're gonna be apprised of. May 6th 2011 is just too far away.
