I have the DVD, and definitely plan on getting the Blu-ray of that one!!!!

I would never say "I can't watch DVD anymore" I never did understand that, because you would miss out on so many films...... but if it's available on Blu-ray, I buy it on Blu-ray...... I still buy DVDs though, if there is no Blu-ray on the Horizon......

I think about 90-100 of my Blu-rays are films I own on DVD too (I don't say "Replace" because I just hold onto the DVD, and if there is no exclusive supplements etc.... I may give them away to friends/family if they ask)

The problem for me is that I have a bunch of DVD's in really nice packaging while the Blu's comes in standard cases (Like Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Master & Commander and so on) so even if I get the Blu-ray I'll keep the DVD as well.

This bugs me too. I loved the "digibook" dvds. Still didn't stop me from replacing all my DVDs with Blu Rays.

As an aside, can I point out the irony of someone dismissing any purchase "over $5" are ridiculous, when they have easily 10-15 THOUSAND dollars thrown away on their movie collection?

I tried taking up close pics of my collection, but the protective sleeves kind of ruin it for the lighting with the SteelBooks. And having close to 300 BDs isn't helping with making detailed pictures.
And each shelf needs 3 pictures in order to properly read what's on the spines. So here's a full picture, if you have questions, want up close pics, whatnot, let me know.

How do you have each shelf organized, kynch? I can tell by the slipcovers that you have a bunch of Pixars on the bottom shelf... or is that more like a slipcover shelf?

It goes:

Shelves 1 & 2: Collector's Editions and other sets too big to fit on a normal shelf
Shelves 3 & 4: SteelBooks (sorted by title on the spine)
Shelves 4 to 7: Blu-rays sorted by title
Shelf 7: Disneys with slipcovers / DigiBooks / SteelBooks for sale / HD-DVDs

Thanks bud. Yeah, I've never done that with my DVD's previously, but I started doing it with my Blu-rays while the high-def format was still unfolding. Don't ask me why.
