So after looking at the clips in the trailer and comparing them to the UHD, it does look like a regrade. I'm not seeing anything filmic in the trailer though (only getting a 1080p option and it's compressed to hell) so I'm not getting my hopes up. It could just be the UHD master with sharpening/DNR and a color filter to make it look prettier for advertising purposes. Lord knows that there's nothing appealing about the grade on the UHD as is.

It's the same trailer edit for the 3D re-release in 2013 but looks different. Not sure what to make of it, seems fishy that they would reconstruct the exact same trailer (sans titles) from a new scan.

The worst example is with Dune. When I played the UHD disc, everything was just dim and no shadow detail. With the Blu-ray, it was much better. However, I'm not good with optimizing the settings, so maybe 4K discs can look better. |

I do think the Dune disc pushes black levels pretty hard and, admittedly, I haven't viewed it on the x900e. The difference with HDR and SDR is that, although mastered at 100 nits, SDR will play at whatever you currently have your brightness settings set to. Then there are additional boosting settings that can further elevator brightness. That doesn't mean it is accurate or that you're not blowing out parts of the screen. With HDR, these are often fixed values. There are still settings (like contrast enhancer) that can boost/alter these values, but the values themselves are fixed. So if they set brightness in a scene to 80 nits, it's 80 nits unless you tamper with it. The only exception is when the brightness value exceeds your TV's capability and the TV then uses its own tone-mapping algorithm to compensate. Each manufacturer does this differently. |

Hi! I want to decorate my home cinema room with a print from Jurassic Park. I have the 4k version, but am unable to take a screenshot of the movie since I don't have a 4k player for my pc. Is there anyone who could help with a good quality screenshot of this scene? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1x-R...ew?usp=sharing or this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wrn...ew?usp=sharing
