LOVE LOVE LOVE this drum solo, from one of the all-time greats, very under-rated in most circles (from those who don't know or follow drummers)
(solo starts around 3:09-3:10)

Holy freakin' Chops & Dexterity - (great recording too; his drums sound fantastic!). Jethro Tull- Conundrum (live), from the album Bursting Out... featuring this solo from Barriemore Barlow.

I also love the 80's. The Thing, American Werewolf in London, I also just watched E.T. for the first time in a couple of decades and Vacation, Commando, etc. I've been on a big 80's kick here lately, and also been on beer and weed tonight!
The new X-Men basically negates all the previous movies. The way it ends means the other movies never existed. Like you, I enjoyed it. It was lacking a bit in the LFE department compared to First Class. But a fun ride nonetheless.

I was with you on the 80's movies until E.T. That little SOB needs a good ass kicking. Phone home my boot upside your head. But I digress.

There's some really great studio quality surround music out there that goes way beyond a mere surround concert disc.

Coolest, most epic drum solo ever! Gregg Bissonette - YouTube
Thanks for all of the awesome vids Aero, but my hangover hurts too much for me to really enjoy them right now , but I'll definitely check them out when I'm feeling better.

I hadn't seen E.T. in like 20 years or something. I think part of the reason I enjoyed it was the nostalgia. My dad took me to see it when I was about 12, it's the only movie that I can specifically recall that just he and I went to, and I remember trying really hard to not cry when E.T. died because it would've embarrassed me for my dad to see me cry, especially over a movie puppet.

I will say that when I watched it the other day, it bothered me the way E.T. bats his eyelids as the ship is landing at the end to pick him up. It reminded me of something an actress from the 40's would do.

Good to see the LD love. Bringing out the big guns. Have you always had that CRT pj?

That's a great story, Frogger. You get a hall pass for E.T.

Evenin' Wabo,

No, I picked it up, with some help from my son, from I guy here local for 25 bucks. I always wanted to mess around with a CRT projector but could not afford 20K back in the day.

I see that even Teddy Bilgewater couldn't save the Vikes today.

Great score on the pj! What brand/model is it?

Yeah, that first round draft pick is looking good.

I'm really amazed at how few people on this site are into music, combined with this new surround technology.

And here's my ol' standby:
