Pawn Shop


I still haven't watched any of The Hobbit films, even though I love the Lord of the Rings films. I decided when the first one was released that I would wait until all 3 were out so I wouldn't have to wait a year or more in between each one. Then once the third one was released I decided to wait until I could find them at a decent price. I got the above for $4.99, and it came with the slipbox/black BD case, all 3 discs, and the UV code (which was still valid)

Of course as soon as I found out the code was still valid I started considering just redeeming the code and trading/selling the BD, as I've been planning to get either the 3D Extended box set or the regular Extended box set to go with my Lord of the Rings Extended box set. Although this BD/slipbox does look pretty good next to the LotR EE set, so I may decide to keep it and try to find the sequels with their slipboxes, but I obviously haven't made up my mind yet

I got these two during the current 60% off used BDs (going out of business) sale, so instead of being $6.99 each they were both $2.80

Yet another TV Season on BD, this one makes 11 since 08/18 I saw this exact copy of Heroes: Season 2 at this particular shop around a week ago, but I passed on it because I've been planning to eventually get the Heroes Complete Series box set. However I recently watched an unboxing video of that set and saw it includes the normal individual seasons in their Digipacks without their slipboxes, so I decided I'd rather get each season with the slipbox than the set

Obviously this one came with the slipbox in good condition, and it was only $4.99 Unfortunately this pawn shop is the one that rewraps the BDs, and when I opened it I found that discs 1 & 4 barely stay in the tray, as two of the small (claw?) pieces are broken off each of the things the discs snap into (luckily all 4 discs are like new though).

This was a blind buy, but it was only $3 after the 60% off used BDs discount, and it came with the slipcover in good condition. Also, the UV code was included and still valid, so once I sell that I will have paid less than a buck for the BD

Now that I have all the DC TV seasons that are out on BD (in the "Arrowverse" anyways) I decided to begin (re)watching them all on Thursday, starting with Arrow Season 1 of course. I watched the first few episodes Thursday night, and I watched episodes 4-12 last night

I can't wait to pick up The Flash: Season 2 on Tuesday Of course I won't be finished with seasons 1-3 of Arrow and season 1 of The Flash by then, but at least when I do finish those I'll have both the new seasons ready to go, along with Legends of Tomorrow: Season 1 & Supergirl: Season 1

I Love You, Man and Traitor are great. I've seen ILYM several times. Young Adult was good but not a film I'd go back to anytime soon. I've seen bits of the Spartans one, if it's the parody film. I do like parodies. I haven't seen the other 2 or just don't recall them.

I got this at Target today on clearance as a online item only. Paid only $3.36 for a blu ray. So not bad I must say.


Then picked this up at Walmart today for $3.74. Plus it has a $5 movie cash good for any movie. So it's like I got it for free really.
