That kinda plays back to the point I tried to make earlier about the film's view points. Thanks for the share!

I saw the film last night and rather enjoyed it.

Is it cheesy at times? Yes. Are there plot holes? Yes.

Both of those things bothered me to a point, but I still gave it four stars. Why? Because it was all I could hope for. I saw the first JP as a child. It was one of the movies that made me fall in love with movies. I can't imagine any sequel possible that could compete with it. What I really enjoyed about JW was that it didn't compete with JP1, but rather complemented it. The easter eggs, like the t-shirt, played a key role in that. I smiled when the JP theme played, and enjoyed they remixed it for this movie later on. This isn't a movie to outdo the original, but rather bring a whole new generation into the series as well as tip its hat to the original fans. I think it did exactly what it needed to.

I look forward to the sequels. This will be a day one purchase for me.

I didn't get one. I am glad it wasn't there.

Didn't someone make a complaint that Grant & Malcolm wasn't in this movie?
Talk about really nitpicking.

It was the first time in a long time I was with an audience that clapped when the film ended, not even with Age of Ultron. It really seemed to work with my crowd.

My theater was the same thing despite the movie not being that great

Everyone also cheered when the
[Show spoiler]Mosasaurus killed off the I-Rex. Heck I joined with them too. The I-rex was getting quite annoying.

Box Office: ‘Jurassic World’ Stomping Toward $155 Million Weekend

Quote:
“Jurassic World” is leaving a major footprint on the domestic box office. Universal reports the “Jurassic Park” sequel is on track for $65 million on Friday and a massive opening weekend of $155 million, according to early estimates.

If projections hold, “Jurassic World” will see the best June debut of all time, outmuscling “Man of Steel,” which reeled in $116.6 million in 2013. The movie would also see the year’s second-best opening, behind Disney and Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” ($191.3 million).

The fourth installment would be the most successful of the dino franchise. It comes over a decade after “Jurassic Park III” hit theaters and 22 years after Steven Spielberg’s original “Jurassic Park” launched.

The $65 million-plus Friday earnings include $18.5 million from Thursday night showings. The “Jurassic World” previews outpaced “Furious 7″ ($15.8 million) as the biggest latenight showing ever for the studio. The monster pic also looks to trample “Furious 7’s” title as Universal’s highest-grossing film.

The tentpole, which carries a whopping $150 million budget, is playing at 13,551 theaters worldwide — the widest Universal release of all time.

The adventure pic is directed by Colin Trevorrow and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson.

I went to the 10pm Cinemark xD showing on Thursday night. The theater was packed. Everyone was talking during the previews (kinda annoying), but the second the movie started everyone fell silent and the second the credits started rolling, people began clapping. I'd say a good 25% stayed to see if there was anything after the credits -- there's not. Haven't seen that type of crowd in a movie since Harry Potter. It was refreshing to see.

I would be okay with a spin-off remake of Turner & Hooch starring Owen & Raptor.

Went into this hoping it would be decent, and that it would hopefully maintain a similar feel to the 1993 film. Expectations exceeded! An entertaining Summer blockbuster that's well-acted and brings something fresh to the series while also doing the first film justice!

[Show spoiler]How about that Dino brawl at the end?!

I felt like I had a ringside announcer in my head during the fight.
[Show spoiler]Down goes T-Rex, will this be the end? Wait, here comes Rapter with a tagteam, I-Rex doesn't know what hit it! They have it cornered, but will it pull through? No, Mosasaur swoops in for the kill!

Does Raptor have to have the same fate as Hooch?

I kinda give her a break
[Show spoiler]because she's old but overall the T-rex was pretty weak. I know I-rex is bigger and more menacing but T-rex needed the extra backup otherwise it was going to end like another JPIII battle disaster. To an extent I thought it was going to happen all over again! Phew.
