The Dark Knight
and The Dark Knight Rises are in a class by themselves for solo hero box office but Wonder Woman, Iron Man 3, and Spider-Man are in the next tier. Pretty dang good.

Iron Man 3 still amazing how that piece of crap grossed 100 million let alone 409.

Actually I would argue that The Dark Knight and Spider-Man are in the top tier given the age of Spider-Man and the fact it didn't have IMAX box office boosting to help it out, so $400million+ on standard screenings 15yrs ago is very, very impressive. Dark Knight Rises and Iron Man 3 are the tier that Wonder Woman is now approaching but their respective takes were bolstered by the success of their predecessors (and DKR was the conclusion of a trilogy). Wonder Woman 2 is going to make serious money when it eventually arrives.

Yep, $400M domestic is a huge achievement, in unadjusted dollars WW is into the top 30 of domestic performers which is seriously impressive.

Blu-ray confirmed as September 19th release date, and contains "an all-new bonus scene":-

"Epilogue: Etta's Mission – Etta Candy gets the boys back together for a secret mission that could impact humanity's future" - sounds like a post credits scene that they decided to hold back?

Loads of extras on it too - can't wait!

He created the Lie Detector which is the Lasso of Truth's inspiration.

The bondage themes in WW are related to him/his ideals as well....

It could've been Marvel's 2nd highest grossing movie if Black hadn't fu**ed it up.

Actually, he only created the systolic blood pressure test. The polygraph itself was invented by John Augustus Larson.

Transformers 2 was crap but managed to make $402M domestic. Wonder Woman just now passed it by $100k.

Makes you scratch your head. If the international crowd took to it more it easily would have crossed $1B.

Well, the first two Captain America films didn't kill overseas either. It doesn't surprise me that WW would do better here since even though she's obviously not an American, she's an American icon. She definitely associated with the United States.
