It's a debit card with no money on it. They'll just tell you it was denied. You need to check-in to the movie with the app first, which will load up the debit card with funds to pay for the ticket. It has been saying that I have a half hour to purchase the ticket once I check-in. You can do this as you are walking from your car to the box office.

That is too much hassle? It has nothing to do with e-ticketing. You're basically just selecting the movie/theater/showtime on the app so they know how much to load onto your card to pay for the ticket. |

Yeah, this is actually very simple and straight forward. If you own a smart phone, you should be able to navigate this system and figure it out in under 5 minutes.
No E-ticketing at all. MoviePass has it's own app. It pulls up a list of theaters, with the closest theater at the top. You click on the theaters name. You click on the movie and time you want to go to. It loads your MoviePass master card. You walk up and pay for the film from the box office or kiosk. You get your ticket and see the movie. |

And I think the activation of the card comes when you use it the first time. When you select a film at the theater, on the app, it makes you type in your cards last 4 numbers. Thus, it becomes activated. |

As for your scam concerns, this is from one of the guys behind Netflix and the former president of Redbox, so I think it's pretty safe to say it's legit. Last edited by cinemaphile; 08-28-2017 at 08:50 PM. |

You need to be within 100 feet of the theater to check in to a movie, and if you don't have your physical card yet then it's all moot anyway, just relax and wait for your card to come holy moly multiple people in this thread have already talked about getting their cards and using them several times, it's not a scam
