Isn't there a local Walmart, Best Buy, Target or any other department or electronic store that sells movies in your area, where you could've went to and buy it?

It's extremely different for sure, but after 4 movies of island adventure I'm fine with that. The genetic creature horror movie angle is a solid one, and the "final" movie has one hell of a setup. Also extremely well directed, visually.

The 4k disc is a stunner and truly an HDR and WCG showcase. I popped in the normal BD afterward and was immediately turned off by how flat and blanketed in beige it was. This might be one of the most obvious wide color gamut improvements I've seen, it just smacks you in the face as soon as you look at the BD. I did have some significant banding in the opening underwater section though, not sure what's up with that. I did not see it on the normal BD. This could be equipment dependent, but when I saw it on Hunt For Red October several people backed me up.
I have the same thoughts as you. I think this movie is great. Definitely better than Lost World or 3. Maybe better than Jurassic World. It has incredibles visuals and is just a lot of fun...and it finally takes the series in a new direction. Jurassic World 3 has the potential to be amazing if it goes the Planet of the Apes route. Anyway, yeah, this movie is very underrated.

Agree on all counts in regards to your thoughts on the film itself. My opinion of it has improved each time I've watched it again. And as a fan of TLW's San Diego's sequence, I can't imagine a more promising set-up for the next one. The final shot after the credits end looks like all kinds of fun.

I also had very noticeable banding during the opening's underwater shots on my MU8000/UBP-X800 setup. Thought it might be my Dynamic Contrast causing problems but it's there even with that setting turned off.

I have to echo the sentiments of the previous posters who praised this transfer. Spectacular picture in literally every way. It immediately jumps into the top tier level of UHDs. It's definitely better than Jurassic World, which was also a very good transfer in its own right.

I received the Best Buy 4K Blu ray steelbook. I’ve got both a PS3 and PS4 and it will not play in either. It starts with the Universal logo spinning, then the Universal movie logo and stops before the studio logo with fanfare finishes. It just goes to a black screen and nothing. The disc has no scratches or marks but won’t play on either PS3 or PS4. Anyone else having this problem? Best Buy has said they will trade it out for a replacement but they said they had. A call before saying the same thing.

Slipbox looks like the Steelbook could fit inside it, I just don't think it could fit the Steelbook AND the booklet.

It's not a great slipbox anyway but yeah it'd be too tight with the Steelbook + booklet but too loose with just the Steelbook.

I got it for the bonus disc.

Where do you get those 4 disc 4K cases from? Hate having stacked discs, and those would definitely come in handy.

I got rid of the black and white discs for Logan and moved the two remaining discs to a two disc case and had the original four disc tray case free to use.

I'm pretty sure Deadpool 2 comes with a case like that too. Hopefully soon we'll see non-stacked four-disc cases at places like Casetopia.

Finally sitting down to watch this and it appears to have a 4K DI? Thought it was a 2K DI. Huh. A welcome surprise! Opening sequence looks pretty good too.
