I don't know how far Jovany or Julie will go as they aren't as good as the other two that I like, but they are definitely pretty good.



It is definitely better than last year. Early on I thought it was worse than even that one but then as it went on I started to notice people who are definitely better than anything we got last year.

Haha well as much as we did disagree last year we both liked Lee the best so it worked out. Im curious to see who your version of Katie will be this year haha. Got Em!!

I saw the first hr and then gave up on it last night, just wasn't in the mood to deal with all the drama and slow snail pace of last night show.

Hopefully the pace will pick up next week.

I like to watch the early rounds of AI... but as it gets closer and closer to the end... I just can't bear it. For the last several years, it seems the final two are always whoever was actually most talented vs whoever the 12 year old girls have hormonal dreams over... with the latter ALWAYS winning. They can change the hosts as many times as they want... but AI will never be truly worth watching again until they make it an actual competition by limiting voting to one vote per phone/text number. No amount of talent can compete against an army of tween girls texting for their heartthrob non-stop.

What I like about this year is the inclusion of original songs. What I hate is that the theme weeks haven't been scrapped yet.

Thank God for TiVo, I skipped all the drama and just watched the verdict-- total of 15 minutes out of the two hours! Glad that's over and focus on the performances next week!

I do watch the show. But they're just song titles and it's just a reality show. I haven't heard them sing and I will be tuning in to hear them sing. Nothing to get riled up about. If you don't want to see it, then don't click it.

As usual, I let it get ahead on my DVR so I can skip the commercials.

I'm up to the Brett guy. Jovanny was very good; the other four...not so much.

The Brett dude was very bad; the other three were

Edit: Alright, besides Brett, no one else sucked. They were all (Dorsey/Gamboa) to very good (Jovanny and the big goofy guy towards the end).

I'm not a country guy....but I really like the Scotty dude. I'm sure he'll get some offers out of Nashville as soon as he leaves this show.

it's hard to pick favorite cos all of them are great!

it's now coming down to the personality, i hate that Jordan Dorsey and Jun Gamboa.

Man there are about 3 to 4 guys alone better than last years winner in Lee Dewyze and we are still in the top 24.

Clint Jun Gamboa - Dude can sing and has great range and gave a great opening performance with a great song choice.

Jovany Barreto - Didnt care for him as it was just an alright performance.

Jordan Dorsey - Wow did this dude screw himself with that song choice. He is easily one of the better singers but he made a major mistake and the performance suffered because of it.

Tim Halperin - Most forgettable performance of the night.

Brett Loewenstern - Very weird kid but did ok for what he brings.

James Durbin - Alex Lambert clone but very good.

Robbie Rosen - Nice song but he couldnt handle that song but it was an ok performance.

Scotty McCreery - My favorite country singer lol. Very nice voice and very good performance.

Stefano Langone - Limited range and missed some notes but the performance was still decent.

Paul McDonald - Very unique singer and very interesting. Good and refreshing performance.

Jacob Lusk - WOW!!! I think he is the best singer ever on Idol! That guy blows me away everytime he sings. To me he should win the whole thing but we all remember its up to America. Marvelous performance!!

Casey Abrams - This may be the guy who gives Jacob a run for his money. Also one of the better singers I ever seen on Idol. Damn good performance.
