I had never seen this. It's exactly the kind of humor that I like, similar to Tarantino and the Coens. I'll definitely be picking this one up.

Had to crank the sound up about 10 decibels higher than normal for some reason.
Great, underrated film. Another film from 08 that's better than TDK and Wall-E.

Watched The Dark Knight.
Earlier this week I was in a Christian Bale movie mood and today I was in a Nolan movie mood.

So I had three movies to pick from to kill two birds with one stone and went with this one

I've reviewed it previously so I won't again.

Rating - 5/5

I'm a bluray champion now? Do I get a metal? How about top contributor? Diesel, how about a title change? Can I change "bluray champion" to "Linguist" (that one's for you squiddy)?

All 5000 posts were mind blowingly awesome and informative, btw.

The top contributor star is for people who make additions to the database.
https://forum.blu-ray.com/feedback-f...lp-thread.html

If you know of stuff that isn't there, feel free to help in making the database more complete and if you are in the top however many get the star you'll get a fancy schmancy orange star too

Custom titles aren't allowed. A few people got them once upon a time but it got out of hand and everyone wanted a new title (I was one that put in a request ) so the practice of handing out custom titles was stopped.

Godfather Part III

Film: 4/5
-Yes, it doesn't come anywhere close to Parts I/II (which I'd give a 6/5 )
-IMO, how much one can enjoy this film depends on how much one can separate it from the first 2. Yes, it has some loose ties, like
[Show spoiler]Michael and Kay marriage and kids
but most of the plot and characters are new and aren't in parts 1-2, so I dont find it too hard to insulate my rating of part 3 from the curse of being compared to its older brothers
-major weakness is Sofia's performance. I winced at times. Too bad Winona rejected the role of Mary.
-Overall, I loved the Vatican plot.

PQ and AQ: 4/5

I have a great deal of respect for it and I think it's wonderful thematically. The Killing Fields I give basically the only rating you could give for the film, 4 stars (out of 4)

And I'm a big fan of Serenity.
I didn't pick up on that so much. I blame it on me not being up for very long this morning when I made my post. I can respect Blade Runner, but I doubt it will ever be a film I like.

I know you're a big fan of Serenity. That is why I threw it in at the end.

Watched Cop Out last night. I seen it once previously at the theater. I really enjoyed this movie. It's fun in the same way I enjoyed movies like Blue Streak and Nothing to Lose. Tracy Morgan is very funny and I would really like to see him in some more movies.

Technically perfect and the entire cast was fantastic. DiCaprio was angry many times but never raised his arms (thats for Surfdude).

It wasnt TOO complicated. However, it felt like it was told in a complicated fashion for the sake of being complcated, not because the story itself was complicated. Some films are interesting because the story complicated. Inception took a simple story and complicated it in an effort to make it interesting. That didnt work for me. I never felt sucked in.

Beautiful to look at, fast paced, well acted, incredible score (Zimmer ), nicely shot and edited action scenes, but just Meh overall.

3/5

Yojimbo - 3.75/5

I liked this movie a lot, but there were a few times I found myself getting a little bored. I think I'll enjoy it more when I see the sequel and when I can give it another viewing someday. It was a good blind buy for me.

Btw, it showed up today and I posted some criterion porn here!
