Or you can head on over to Screen Archives and pick it up for $24.99. It's very rare and OOP.

It is very rare and OOP frakkinstein. And by the way thanks for letting me know that Screen Archives has those. I didn't see it under the regular search. Come Tuesday they won't have them anymore. They belong to Dark Force now.

Excellent. As long as an order is placed with one of Bill's authorized vendors, not a vendor selling used merchandise, then Bill gets paid and Code Red can continue. Screen Archives is an authorized vendor as are Dark Force, Ronin, Diabolik, Hamilton, etc. For prices, shipping and selection, I prefer Dark Force, Ronin and Hamilton, but each of them has its own best features and does a great job. What I love about Dark Force's store is the ability to combine Dark Force and Code Red purchases. With Ronin, I can combine Scorpion and Code Red. Point is, whatever vendor you decide to use, it should be an authorized vendor. Of course, with Dead Pit, it will be coming out via Dark Force.

Wouldn't say $24.99 is a great deal, but its good enough.

If you want to avoid "OOP prices" buy Code Red near release instead of waiting. The Devastator was released in 2015 so its not like this title had a small period of availability.

If he tells David to sell it at the price he would set, were he still managing the Code Red Cartel store, and David does it, you act like it is a gouging scheme on the part of these men, as though you are picturing them in some darkened room somewhere, cackling over evil schemes.

Bill routinely, when relatively healthy, forgot someone was selling a title and marked it up ten or twenty dollars more. Then, after someone pointed it out, the title would go away, or the store would close. And, then, that title or the entire store would come back, with that title's price neatly positioned between those two competing prices, just after the other outlet had sold out. He's just a guy trying to make a living and it would be very difficult to scour all of his outlets, every day, just to make sure he wasn't overcharging, on one title, via the Dark Force Superstore. I don't suppose you guys could cut Bill and David some slack, as though you also have normal human flaws, because that would be really decent of you and I would certainly prefer that, over the criticism.
So he forgot THE DEVASTATOR was a Screen Archives exclusive back in the day......

Yup. He's human, just like the rest of us. Good thing, too. Otherwise, where would we get our movies? Forgetting really isn't all that big a deal. I forget crap all the time. Sometimes don't remember for days. Happens to us all.

Let me translate. The title is very available at a normal price. The movie is so bad that it didn't even sell at the normal price so we are going to try and force an online vendor to give us the rest of their stock so we can try and sell it at an inflated price. Did I get that right?

Am I the only one who gets David's sense of humor? Maybe you could go back and read it again, only this time, put it through the DD filter. David was spouting off, in a good way, saying something that, from him, is actually kind of good-natured and funny.

He's not going to confiscate stock which Bill sold to another vendor, who knows how long ago. He wouldn't try, because he's a decent guy and a businessman and doesn't want to screw with Bill's other outlets, but, beyond that, he knows that's not an actual option.

Does everyone just look for the worst possible interpretation of what everyone else says? Is that how we all live now? Because that sucks.

For your convenience, I have included the quote in question.

That's not how we all live but if you look at pop culture these days seems like a race to the bottom on who can showcase that they were the most wronged... Definitely not exclusive to this forum or thread.

No this weekend was unveiling the new Code Red OOP section, which is just a bullshit way to over charge for regular Code Red product!

Dead Pit is being released in two weeks, if nothing goes wrong with the final packaging. So far, it looks like they are pretty happy with how it is going, so there shouldn't be any delays.

Two announcements....

First, the one I've been waiting for: Mirror Mirror is currently scheduled for release in July, with that date being dependent on everything going smoothly with its box, as it will be part of the limited box series.

Second, the non-MM news:

"Dark Force Entertainment
32 mins ·
DARK FORCE CUSTOM COLLECTOR'S BOX EDITION:
The new high def blu-ray of DEAD PIT will be the first to feature the custom collector's box! The box will consist of a high gloss custom O-card that will have the DEAD PIT zombie in 3D sculpted emboss but here's the kicker. Just like the awesome old retro Aurora Monster Model Kits the zombie will also GLOW IN THE DARK!
The Limited 1000 DEAD PIT CUSTOM COLLECTOR'S BOX that GLOWS IN THE DARK!
exclusively from Dark Force Entertainment!
Stay tuned as we will be unveiling the actual box for the very first time for the public to see!"

So, it looks like they have one in hand, which they would need in order to do an un-boxing video, which implies they also are getting ready to have those in stock, for selling to us. My guess is, the weekend after the Severin sale, Dark Force will release Dead Pit.

I don't get paid on a fixed schedule, so I'd be fine with a Wednesday, but, since David will read this, on behalf of the Facebook people, I should say to Dark Force, please remember how many of your customers have commented that they do get paid on a fixed schedule, because they're young and normal and all that. They often get paid on Thursdays and Fridays so you might want to take that into account, when selecting a release time, such as a Friday evening.

(Did I get that right? I hope I remembered that correctly, from all the Facebook Live Feed Comments. If I've remembered incorrectly, you can all let him know via Facebook if there is a problem with opening the store on a particular day, such as during the Severin sale, which he wouldn't do, because that would be mean. But, since my last paycheck was on a Sunday, you all should let him know if a Friday evening would pose a significant problem, since the store often opens on a Friday or Saturday evening.)

Just make it easy to buy please! Stocking 50 at 1am then having the store closed for awhile is aggravating.

It's gotta be aggravating for DeFalco too - all the complaints and social media backlash from customers, I mean. Unless he's a masochist I don't think he wants a repeat of that mess. Right, Dave?

When DF hires Mirror(Mirror)Ball as their PR spokesperson,
logic dictates that something will go wrong, per the DFnorm, with this on sale.

I will preface my comments by saying that I plan to purchase The Dead Pit and that it's the first Dark Force release I"ve been interested in, in a long time, but...

I was expecting something a bit more extravagant given all the hype rather than an embossed slip that glows. The announcement effectively described Grindhouse releasing's edition of "The Beyond" except that release included additional goodies as well. Here's to hoping this film will be priced reasonably and actually be up for enough time that folks can purchase it.

The price and shopping experience will likely influence whether I continue shopping with DF in the immediate future or whether I go back to checking in once every few months and decide whether it's worth my time/energy to blind buy some titles or not.
