I have to admit that I really got chocked up reading this very....very sad story, having terminal cancer at 10 is so unfair. Kudos to pixar to grant the last dying wish of a child but did they do it out of compassion or an oppurtunity to sell more movie ticketts. I see some of you are planning to go see it after reading the story. I'm just saying!!!

Its really sad to hear about this little girl, but to know that a huge company like Pixar has such a big heart is phenomenal.

As a father of three, it's heart breaking to hear stories like these. Glad to see Pixar coming through for her, way to go!

A very nice gesture by Disney/Pixar.

I have nothing but respect for this company.

They recently sent me a free birthday blu-ray for being a rewards member.

Every release is flawless. Nothing hurried or just thrown out there to make cash.

Sad story but they did what they could.

That story is so heart breaking, it's a mixture of joy and pure sadness all mix into one

Disney & PIXAR show great class once again.

RIP little one, may you raise Up and watch over all of us.

Yeah i read this story and i was sad and happy at the same time. With me and my family going to see the movie UP and enjoying it you almost take for granted that some kids cant go..and they really want to but there sick. This just sends me a wake up call sometimes that anything can happen and just be thankful for what you got. Disney / Pixar thanks for making my day

Very sad story and not surprising, Pixar is just in a league of their own.

I'm reminded of the story about Kevin Costner organizing a private screening of Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves for a terminally ill boy, who sadly would not be alive when the film was scheduled to open in theaters. The most awesome part though, was Costner himself watching the film with the kid at his side and spending time with his family.

Goodness, that's about the saddest thing i've read in a long time. Little kids with terminal illness's just rip me to shreds. Hard not to get mad at the complete random unfairness of life sometimes. I just hope she wasn't in too much pain at the end. She seems like a pretty strong little girl.

That's true about Pixar not wanting publicity. Actually, her family didn't want publicity either but the person that told the story to the OC register couldn't help it. She thought it was too kind of a gesture to go unnoticed. Eventually, Colby's mom embraced the idea that Colby's story touched so man. They had candle light services last night and her memorial service will be tonight.

You guys have not seen it yet? Bring some tissues. Honestly, I cant imagine being the Pixar employee who viewed the movie with the child. The movie alone made me bawl like a child, and with the little girls condition at the time, I would certainly have fallen apart.

No, just haven't made it, I have heard it has sad moments.

Like I said, not sure if I could have kept my composure describing the movie to my child.

Uh! I was very choked up reading the story - she wanted something so simple that her family couldn't provide - just really moving that people rushed to get this done for her.

It's not like Pixar had a DVD and a guy waiting around for an occasion like this - people really jumped through hoops to make this happen.

But yeah, I would have a hard time being the guy who brought the movie - but at the same time, he must have felt so good when he left. Probably one of the best things he'll ever do for another person he doesn't even know.
