Seems like there has to be a decent market for this? I mean compared to some stuff that has gotten releases. Come on Shout or somebody!

Agreed. This movie has tons of rewatch potential. I'd love this on blu-ray.

Looks like it has been released on Blu, but it's only available in Italy.

Interesting. There is one mildly educational review on amazon.it from 2011. It says the 2.0 audio is okay, but the 5.1 is sub par. The video is "sufficient," but not what one would expect from a good transfer (paraphrasing). Does anyone on this site have a copy ? Very curious if it is worth picking up or as bad as that review would seem to indicate.

I would love to add this one to my blu collection! It's been a fan of mine since I was a kid. I know he hated the experience of making it, but it'd be great to have a King commentary. And that soundtrack! This is a must own.

He stated before that he was coked out of his mind doing the entire movie...bet you he doesn't remember much from that movie

If King can't do anything maybe someone else from the film can do at least something.

Holter Graham (Deke) who does audio books. So maybe he remembers something while filming to do a commentary or whatever else being that it was his first film.

It was on IFC a while back...but 4:3 while this is 16:9

Just a heads up.... The movie channel Encore is having a Stephen King marathon on Sunday (9/21), capping with "Maximum Overdrive" in HD at 10:30pm (Central Time).

Also, a company in Japan is releasing this on blu on October 31st. I checked CD Japan and ooh boy, is that thing pricey! Nearly 4900 yen. Maybe it'll have better PQ than the Italian blu, which I hear is an average presentation at best. So, DVR that baby!
