I know what you mean. I get so caught up on what i'm going to do next...even during watching movies....sub is exploding tonight and i'm thinking to myself ''I need another sub'' when the bass is ridiculous at low levels period. My pioneer 23fd in my bedroom has maybe played 3 movies total in the month I've had it. I get my matching towers...sub and surround for bedroom...and upgraded screen I'll be content for awhile and might fully enjoy what I've done. I have a set list to get done. From there its one thing at a time upgrade wise slowly that is easier to manage (on the wallet side that is). Don't hold me to any of what I just said though

LOL Ya I know. I always say I'll stop or "ya it's good enough for now" but I never do. It's like Christmas all the time around here. The manager at the shop where I buy my HT stuff knows me by name now and I don't even ask for a deal. He just takes out his calculator and says "let's see how much I can do this item for". I recently told myself that I'd "deal" with having my old Atoms for my rear centers for a while, and now I don't think so Thinking of putting Studio 20's but I'm not sure if that would be overkill for rears.

There's no such thing as overkill IMO You can always level match the sound levels... but the great thing about having full size surrounds is the greater frequency range. Whereas most surrounds limit you to about 90KHZ and above... full size surrounds give you a much greater frequency range in the rear and it really deepens the whole sound field.

Thanks again sean. Yes I will relax tonight but this week might be a bit busy again. Ceiling is still not done and I might, and I say might, be framing boxes around the air ducts and getting the ceiling ready for installation. I also have a couch that's similar to the one I have in my gallery ("curved") that's coming in to put in front of that one. The only difference is it's a 3 seater and a touch darker (unfortunately). I'm also unsure where to put the sub riser, especially once I get the new couch.

I'm going to get rid of the "dual" setup I have (screen and TV) and just keep the screen and projector in that room. With the new couch coming any day, the first row will be too close to the screen and because of the TV stand I can't back up the screen. So I will do away with the TV and stand and put it on the other side of the basement as a "game room" type environment for my son. Now thing is, the TV stand is what keeps all my components right now so should I build somekind of little stage (platform) with 2X4's ? Another stand will probably get in the way of the screen since it's going to be maybe 6-8 inches from the wall and takes the full wall. If I do build a stage, should it come out far enough for the speakers to be on it or keep the speakers on the floor ? Decisions, decisions.
