me too! Seems to be a lot of mixed views of this but I didn't think it was that bad.

Has there been any confirmation that these two snippets are the only addition to the Director's Cut? The rumour circulating around the UK release of the DC is that it will clock in at some 40 minutes longer than the theatrical release.

My guess is a December release.

EDIT: VideoETA states an estimated November release.

I agree 100% and blame stupid fat f**king fanboys for having the proper ending ruined for the silliest thing I've paid money to see. John Connor is clearly, CLEARLY meant to have bitten the fat one in this movie, but miraculously survives. Bullshit!

Is it a 30min apology from McG, placed after the end credits? Actually no, Blu-ray does not have the storage capacity for the length that apology should be.

This was the worst movie I saw this summer...and also the biggest disappointment. I can't put into words how badly it sucked in comparison to the other 3.

Not even an R-rated cut could help it.
I agree you 100%. This is the worst movie I've seen in years.

If you're looking for the "chase scene" genre of the first three films then people won't like it. If you take it as an action movie it's really good. I really liked it except for the fact that I kept waiting for an all out war between humans and machines that didn't really happen....oh and batman had a cameo in the movie which i didn't like (Bale using his batman pissed off voice at one point). That was plain stupid of him.

And I will 3rd that. I was sorely disappointed. But, then again this wasn't as bad as Transformers 2 on 2nd thought. I may still buy it cause I am a sheep , but it was just not good really.

Agreed with this man.

I still dont get how McG messed up... I mean my god if he just tried to do what Cameron did in the flashbacks of his two films and then the flashbacks of the third film... it could have been great. A dark destroyed world with T800s shooting like nuts... human body parts going everywhere.. John Connor fighting back and trying to keep us alive!!

Would have been awesome, but instead we got a VERY crappy movie. I actually preferred Transformers 2 to this. Sure the story was probably weaker..but atleast that was 2 hours of AWESOME effects...sure McG did great with his effects but there was probably a total of 30 mins worth of good action effects. The rest was boring, crappy story.

Lets hope this so called "Directors Cut" includes much more of the Terminator violence that was in the first 3 and I guess Moons topless scene wouldnt be too bad. But PLEASEE give us an alternate ending.

To be more correct, Marcus is turned into John Connor. That's what I got,at least, with the ending, and I was surprised almost no one got it. Review the ending again, it's more clever than you think. (and anyway, the movie would have no meaning if it wasn't about Marcus becoming Connor -- a plot that was hinted years ago by Cameron himself in interviews).

Here it is

Omni: What about your treatment of artificial intelligence (AI) in The Terminator and T2? Skynet reminds me of the evil supercomputer in the movie Colossus: The Forbin Project.

Cameron: I'd love to do a really intelligent AI story. It probably wouldn't be about the threat of the Forbin-type megabrain. I don't see artificial intelligence as being threatening because I believe that we'll always be in control of it. If I were going to do a Terminator novel, I'd expand the idea of a "cyber-Christ," where Skynet manipulates this entire situation. What you don't know from the movies is Skynet was forced to fight the war and didn't want to. Because Skynet has felt guilty for 30 years about the five billion people it killed, it's brought the rebels up from the ashes by giving them something to fight against, a reason to live. Skynet has groomed John Connor to be what he is so he can destroy it by going back in time and taking the whole thing out of existence in a big loop so the war never happens.

As anyone would notice, this is exactly what McG says T5 will be, also explains of lot of the perceived incoherences in the last one

I'll own this on Blu ray the only Terminator film I don't own on Blu ray is T3 do to the fact it's not as good as the others and there is no uncompressed or lossless option!

This was easily better than the third film, but it was expecting too much to expect it to rival the first two films. If the extended edition is just extra gore in one scene and some nudity, why bother? Now if it’s a director’s cut with 30 extra minutes, I’d definitely buy it.
