A Bigger Splash is one of my favorites of the year too, so I'm pretty excited for this.

I'm all for leaving horror classics alone, as they're usually remade by hacks looking for a quick buck.But this is different-luca Guadagnino's I Am Love and A Bigger Splash were very good, and made by a man with an artist's eye and drive. He knows how to build tension, and with an atmosphere that is genuinely erotic. He has his over-the-top , operatic moments to be sure, but who the hell would want a Suspiria remake without them?

He's shooting in Italy and Hungary, and this film will look great.

In A Bigger Splash, he got a genuinely interesting (and sexy) performance out of Dakota Johnson.

Oh hell, who needs convincing? You had me at Tilda Swinton playing a witch!

Man I love Chloe but I dont like her casted in this at all. The chick in the original is drop dead gorgeous. While Chloe is attractive, she just isnt that pretty pretty girl to me. Theres a difference of levels of beauty if that makes sense. Got Em!!

Is the character required to be drop dead gorgeous?

Chloe Grace Moretz may not be the lead, Dakota Johnson was involved in this many months ago and it may very well be her.

Meh. I was more excited when it was supposed to star Isabelle Huppert, Janet McTeer, and Isabelle Fuhrman.

Its a remake so I think the actress should have a similar look and effect on the crowd. Chloe just wouldve give me the same reaction as the original lead. Thats just me though. Got Em!!

Yes Isabelle Fuhrman would be perfect for the lead. I love her. I just looked up Dakota and she looks like a solid fit for the lead to. Just hope its not Chloe as lead. Got Em!!

Chloe is more attractive than Isabelle Fuhrman, IMO. If we're going for looks as to who would be the better fit for the role, Chloe wins hands down.

See its weird. Its the look of the actress in the original. She was innocent and pretty. Isabelle just has the look of the character from this film. Not sure who I think looks better but I just dont think Chloe fits the lead role and again Im a big fan of hers. Just dont get the vibe of her playing lead in this. Isabelle's look fits better in my opinion. Got Em!!

This is confusing as I thought CGM was done with her projects for the foreseeable future.

Eh, we'll see how it goes. I liked the original. Also think Dakota Johnson will be the lead.

Director Luca Guadagnino expressed his interest in working with Dakota Johnson again after working with her in A Bigger Splash, she almost certainly has the lead.

As Chloe Grace Moretz dropped out of all her projects mere weeks ago, it is far more likely this is a less stressful and time-consuming supporting role not unlike The Clouds of Sils Maria.
