I've been a huge fan of Blue Underground for years, even before i converted to blu ray. every blu ray i own from them is beautiful. The Bird With the Crystal Plumage and New York Ripper are just fantastic. as a true fan of the kind of movies im always stunned when i see their releases, these are movies i never thought would ever look this good (especially NYR). i recently blind bought Two Evil Eyes and looking forward to checking it out.
cant wait to behold the treatment they give Toolbox Murders and The Crazies.

I love Blue Underground! So far I only have The Bird with the Crystal Plumage and Fire and Ice on Blu. I'll be getting The New York Ripper very soon, as my avatar suggests.

You should get Dead & Buried and The Stendhal Syndrome as well. Grainy as hell, but they both look amazing!!

Do they come with poster inserts like the Special Editions?

I bought the Special Edition of Dead and Buried on DVD and it came with an insert of the japanese poster.

Just wondering if the select Blu-ray titles comes with these inserts in them?
I have every Blue Underground BD released so far and none have come with inserts of any kind. There is interesting art on the reverse side of the cover however, so you can see it through the translucent BD case when you open it. I don't believe it is a Japanese poster for Dead & Buried though

Oh man! Knew about Toolbox Murders and Crazies, but City of the Living Dead!!! One of Fulci's best for sure! The drill-scene is just beyond anything else!!

And speaking of beyond... We need The Beyond on Blu-ray as well!!

Great news about BU releasing Toolbox, Crazies, Vampyres, and City. Don't know about Django. Can't be as bad as that Japanese Django.

Still waiting for- Deep Red, Shockwaves, and Prowler. Basically more Argento and Fulci. Hope they get the rights to Demons 1 and 2.

Maniac is likely a 2010 release, as well. BU promoted it in their first blu-ray commercial as one of the launch titles, but it must have got pushed back

Can't wait for City of the Living Dead!

Speaking of niche companies, does anyone know who has the rights to "The Fearless Vampire Killers?" Haven't seen it in years. I think it may have been released on DVD, but I'd love to see it on Blu.

It's currently released on DVD by Warner Bros. Nice disc too.

Amen to Suspiria and The Beyond, been holding off seeing those for Blu-ray also but I know of their greatness!

Suspiria is tied up in rights, I was browsing Blue Underground and it says Suspiria is OOP:
http://www.blue-underground.com/product.php?product=137
I think the Weinsteins own Suspiria know, not sure. I know they have the rights to do a remake, not sure of the home video rights.

And Grindhouse Releasing owns The Beyond, they haven't ventured into Blu yet, hope they do soon, they have a great catalog of releases.
Ah, thanks for the info. My guess is that we'll see Argento's far superior original (and yes, I'm 100% sure I can say that before even seeing the re-make...) on Blu-ray when the re-make hits the theatre.

How is "Living Dead In Manchester Morgue"? That is the only one that looks appealing to me honestly.
