Saw all 3 of these in a store in Atlanta yesterday. They are on a WB cardboard stand thingy near the front of the store, by the new releases but far from the catalog racks. Also had a bunch of other WB discs for $4.99 like Mean Streets, Dumb and Dumber and some for $7.99 like Fallen and Devil's Advocate.

Bought the triple pack a while back for $9.99 at Best Buy. I always loved the first two (first being better than the second), I never liked the third film mainly due to the poor suits and crap animatronics. They made them look like frogs. With that said, some of the scenes with Ralph and the kid were great.

Comparing the first and second films you can see that they brightened things up quite a bit and really hammed it up for the sequel. The Secret of the Ooze is eye-rollingly cheesy and the humor just misses. [Show spoiler]

I could never find the triple pack in stores. But yesterday stumbled across the single releases at WM. They are selling for $6 bucks each, and I think TMNT is also on sale for about $7.88.
I bought the 1st film, I'll go back for II and III but I'm not in any hurry. ![]() |

What bothered me about the second movie is that they almost never used their weapons. I guess after all the parents complained about the violence in the first one, they had to kick up the wacky hi-jinks.
That and the final fight with Shredder was a complete cock-tease. |

Does anyone know if the standalone USA release of the first film is region free please?
Also how does John Du Prez's score sound through a home theatre system? Much bass? I'm based in the UK, and the UK blu ray is a 1080i 50hz garbage quality release. |
