thanks bro, you too. i can see how people wouldnt like Unforgiven, its an unorthodox western, but i dont watch a lot of westerns, so my perspective is limited.

I appreciate what it was trying to do and I like the point of the story, but I thought the dialogue was very hokey and thought Gene Hackman's Oscar winning role is one of the most overrated best supporting actress wins in history.

yeah i remember we disagreed on hackman's performance. that street scene when he beat the shi& out of harris was great IMO. until that scene, harris was the man, mocking the USA. after that scene...well...

still, glad we can respectfully agree to disagree, since we agree on so many other things

I'm a big Eastwood fan and have liked pretty much all of films that he directed, including the ones he did not appear in.

Plus I like most of his early films he made w/ other directors as well.

I think it was intended to have comic value with his interactions with the others but if you're just talking about his Dirty Harry voice, well no it wasn't intended lol.

Close call for me between Unforgiven and Gran Torino. Love both of those movies. But Unforgiven is one of my all-time favorite westerns, so the vote goes to that one.

He's done a lot of great ones though!
