Haha, I know! It just goes to show you that a film doesn't have to be rated R to be genuinely creepy and scary if done right. Poltergeist is a rare gem. Plus the "curse" theories just give an added creepiness that surrounds the film.

This is before the PG-13 rating was created. So a lot of movies with that rating got away with certain things that wouldn't now.

I also liked the scene when one of them watches the steak starting to move, and then all the worms start to come out from it. Yiikes!

You know, this movie is 25yo but still some of the effects are simply awe inspiring even today. I wish movies will return to some of those old school effect.

Looks like it does include lossless so that's good news. I'm really looking forward to this one. For some reason, I never got around to getting it on DVD.

Looks good. For some strange reason I love how the last screen cap makes the dog look about 8 feet tall.

something about that second pic where the little girl is sitting on the kitchen counter staring at her mother creeps the hell out of me, almost demonic in nature. I don't know what it is, maybe the way she's sitting/body posture the expression on her face. Am I the only one who's creeped out by that screen capture.

That isn't bad for retail stores /// but Target now refuses sales on pre-street titles.. if you try to buy anythign like that the register won't let the sale go through. It happened to me when they put out the Mamma Mia CD early by about a week. (I know I admit it I liked it)

I wish someone like Target or best buy would do a sale price for it on Tues.
