Since it does, however, it is a fault on your part for not ready the whole TOS (who really does?) and we will just have to live with it. Your choice to further support SONY is up to you. As was said in this thread this only effects people going forward (when this starts I do not know). People who are already on someone's gamesharing list/tied to their system will not be effected unless one of the systems deactivate.
Not to mention the PSN TOS shouldn't have any bearing on buying a PS3. I doubt anyone researched them before making a purchase.

I'm all for the changes, if there's a reason why Sony is doing it... which I'm sure there is.

If you've got the money for more than 5 PS3s, then you can probably buy the PSN game twice. You spent over $2000 on PS3s (unless you just recently stocked up on slims), and you'd really argue about some $5 DLC?

Because it doubles as a BD player, I can imagine why people might own more than one PS3. Same thing applied with PS2's and DVD players. I own/owned two of each. But 5 seems a little overboard.

And what's so hard about moving to one of the other 4 PS3s you have in your house to play the game there?

If it comes down to angering game developers by allowing game-sharing to be as rampant as it is, or angering one of the handful of people in the world that legitimately own more than three PS3s, I'd anger the latter.

I think the whole thing is BS. At the moment I share with me, my 2 brothers, and my step-son. That's 4.

So if anyone of us get the YLOD we're out all the money we put into those games. About once a month we all go in and buy one game a piece... if we're going to lose out on sharing then I don't really want to keep spending money until I know if my terms are changing..

THIS is what you do people.....

WRITE SONY!!!

It seems it is only Europe based right now from alot of accounts I've seen. If people like you make enough of a stink it may never come to NA at all. But grab hold of this opportunity NOW or your boned.

But there in lies the problem. Think of the DLC as a physical disc, and by sharing it between PS3s you are essentially burning a copy of the disc and giving it to your bro in law, sister, etc. which is illegal and against the TOS.

This isn't a single piece of $5 DLC. My fiance and I have purchased 27 PSN games and countless add-ons for LBP, Burnout and other games. Between those 27 games and all our discs, we're almost never playing the same game at the same time. In fact, we only played Fat Princess online together ONCE in the 3 months since we bought the 2 slims. Except for that single day, it's pretty much the same as sharing 1 game disc between the 2 PS3s that are 20 feet apart.

It's not like we don't buy seperate things once in a while, we bought two Uncharted 2: Among Thieves discs so we could play online together and we've both purchased some of the exact same content on Playstation Home (petra_kalbrain can attest to both of those) but we understood from day 1 that they would only work on 1 system or 1 account.

In this case, we understood from day 1 that we could use them on up to 5 systems, on any account on those 5 systems. If this new policy was the case from day 1, we would've bought everything on 1 joint account, would not have needed to double-dip on any Home content and wouldn't have bought so many PS3s. That would have been about $700 (2 slims, several double-dipped PS Home items on 2 accounts, extra copy of Uncharted 2) of our money that Sony never saw.

I'm not understanding you. I bought a disc based game and we all share it across our systems...

Like steph said, we barely play at the same time... I'm not going to buy 3 copies of every game for me and my kid, and my little brother that's too young to have a credit card. That's dumb. (and that's not aimed at you)

I've just read it was a typo, that it's still 5. Hopefully someone will get the updated e-mail and confirm.
