What is the runtime of the theatrical cut versus the uncut version of Casino Royale?

You can get the French CE version that's uncut for a lot cheaper than the Australian one.

I don't like the French language sleeve. How much is the French CE?

I imported it in a gruop buy for about $30. What's the sleeve matter? The film should be the most important thing. It's uncut, like it should be.

Are the menus definitely all in English or are they in French? That would be more important to me.

French version is a reference quality disc as well. Better PQ and AQ than the Australian version.

No so, check out the reviews. I have both too. Do you have both Nick?

Can you post links to the reviews? Would appreciate it. The single disc is a different transfer. Are you referring to that one?
When doing research all the info I found pointed to them being the same. I fail to see how the aus one could be worse than the French. Seriously amazing sound and pic. Please prove me wrong! I am ready! ;-)

You can do the research yourself. It'a all over the reviews forums. Even this forum has them listed. The French version is many people's choice as their theater reference disc. I know it's mine.

Um, yes, it has them listed but not in review form; where are you seeing these alleged reviews?

Precisely! I can't find them anywhere or even a comparison thread. I really have tried but have come up with nothing. All I can find is same codec/compression etc. It would baffle me that Sony would really release a different transfer but I am open to suggestion. I am to buy the French version and compare it, but I would be really disappointed to find its exactly the same.

Since the US/UK/German editions have been censored and the Australian edition is very hard (and expensive) to find, I am thinking of buying the French 2-BD deluxe edition of Casino Royale:

http://www.amazon.fr/James-Bond-Casi...dp/B001ENPCGE/

Is it the uncut version of the film? Is the packaging the same as the UK edition?

By the way, can someone provide an image of the back cover? The one from Amazon is too small.

Yes, as previously posted in this thread the French Deluxe Edition is uncut.

If by packaging you're referring to the felt boxset that the UK had, I'm fairly sure the French Bluray only has a case.

I would suggest looking on http://www.cdcovers.cc for the french cover, it might be on that site.

The French CE release is the same as the Dutch version, so it's indeed uncut.

Btw, the French cover isn't too bad, the title is exactly the same, so you don't see it if you take a look at your bookcase.
