Probably because it is owned by another studio in other territories.

Looking forward to the Blu...thankfully its 13.99 lol
I saw it in a matinee w/ an alcoholic who shared his flask of vodka w/ me, and even that didn't make it a better movie. It was fun, but definitely not a great film. Seeing it sober in later years on movie channels confirmed my initial opinion. Dawson is pretty funny in it, though.

PISS!!!! Order cancelled, Drop Zone as well. F**kers!!

Axelmusic has the rear artwork up, dirty big smelly Region A logo smacked on there. Ah well, leaves me funds for Zombieland or something else.

Maybe not all. DVDWorldUSA lists Phantom as "A,B,C (Confirmed Multi-Region)". What's weird is that Axel Music has the back cover, and it's listed as region A in it (at least for catalog titles, Lionsgate's back covers usually feature the correct region code(s) info).

A bit out of topic, but does anyone have any confirmation if Black Dynamite is indeed region locked?
It's a bummer, I have an order for Black Dynamite, Running Man and Phantom. As my player is region B only it seems I'm out-of-luck: I'll have to cancel at least 2 out of 3 titles.

Black Dynamite has a Region A logo on the sleeve, which is enough to worry me.

Seems reasonable to wait now until a reliable site actually does a region check on these titles.

Thumbs down Bad news running man region a locked

HEY ALL

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THE LAST WEEK FOR A REVIEW OR ANY NEWS ABOUT THE REGION CODING ON THE RUNNING MAN.

UNFORTUNATLY MY WORST FEARS WERE CONFIRMED.

THE RUNNING MAN IS REGION LOCKED TO REGION A ACCORDING TO THE FOLLOWING WEBLINK.

http://movietyme.blogspot.com/2010/0...n-blu-ray.html

OH WELL LOOKS AUSTRALIA WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR EITHER A VERSION TO COME OUT HERE OR ITS RELEASED IN THE U.K

WHY WOULD A FILM COMPANY LIKE LIONSGATE PUT REGION CODE ON THE DISC WHEN THEY KNOW FULL AND WELL THIS MOVIE WILL SELL LIKE CRAZY.

CHEERS

Because Lionsgate is authorized to sell this movie in the US only. They have no right to step on another company's distribution territory. Honestly, the DVD was region 1 so how is that different from the Blu-ray being Region A?

If this movie is that important to you, and I assume it is by the shouting you've done in your post, then invest in an all-region or region A/B capable player. Region coding is not going away and with the large slate of catalog & new titles coming in the next few years, region coding will be used a lot more often.

i rented this a while ago on dvd, i was surprised that it actually sucked. i tended to like arnolds movies but this one was just not up to par with his others like terminator or predator. this was like a ultra 80's mess.

Sad but true.
This time we had no luck.
60% LG BDs were Codefree and 40% were Locked until now.
Now it is 50:50.

I loved it, I remember watching it when I was like 5 years old on Cinemax in the mid-90's.

Love this Arnold flick.

Here's some great Arnoldesque quotes.....

"Hey Killian, I'll be back."
"Only in a re-run."

"where's Buzzsaw?"
"He had to split."

"I get sick on planes. If I throw up, i'm going to throw up on you."
"Go ahead. Want show up on this shirt anyway."(Arnold wearing a loud Hawaiian shirt)
