Well, if you remember from the original Reeves version...he had no glasses until after he went to "make" the Fortess of Solitude and study the info on his crystals. There was even Jor'el saying that "13 of your Earth years will have passed". He was 18 wwhen he went...so he was 31 when he came back as Superman. Hormones can change people drastically.

Personally for me, this is the biggest release on Blu-ray so far! Season 5 would have been... had it actually been released on Blu!

So message away people, discuss, discuss.

I'm really interested in what you all think of the news of having 1 disc less than HD DVD and reasons why we get 4 discs when the content could fit on 3 (according to HD DVD space limits). I personally am hoping for better encodes... far fetched wish mabe? Also interested on your thoughts on possible episode denominations on the discs... maybe 6, 6, 5, 5?

Everything and anything Smallville welcome, that includes speaking up about wanting seasons 1-5 on Blu lol!

7 weeks today... 49 days...
my biggest concern of it not coming on bluray, like season 5. WB promised to release season 5 and they didn't. was there any statements done by them regarding that matter anyone knows why it wasn't released?

I will be purchasing Smallville Season 6 on Blu-Ray on the 18th and I'm looking forward to Seasons 1-5 on Blu in the future.

BTW.....this is from February 14, 2007 from spoilerfix.com

02/14 - Michael Rosenbaum reveals: I think next season will definitely happen. [...] Next year will be my last year. I had a great run. I loved it, but that will be it for me. I think other people have longer contracts. I’m not going to say who, but I know that next year is the last for me. So, it will be very sad when it happens, but all good things must come to an end. Source: Kristin on E!Online

He is referring to Season 7 as his last but mentions other cast members are signed on for Season 8.

My local Best Buy (US1 south of Oakland in Ft.Lauderdale FL) has been releasing new titles on the previous Thursday(last Sunday I got Delta Farce...iknow it sux...and I just bought the replacement killers today, they also had nip tuck, which I don't care about). I will check on this coming Thursday for SmallVille S6 and if it's there I'll post some pics to settle any questions we have about it actually coming out(refference to season5). I'll have to wait till Tuesday to buy it though, because of this buy athon I said I'd be a part of. Maybe my friends friend can hide one for me to make sure it's still there when I go to get it!

Urgh, I won't be getting mine on the release date now then!!

Something about Warner and failing to get them to retailers on time!

Takes 5 days for things to get to me by post, and it hasnt shipped yet, so no Clarky-boy for me til end of next week at the earliest!

I pre-ordered smallville a few minutes ago. But studios need to start blu-ray releases with season 1. I bought smallville becase ive been watching it since it started and I missed a lot of season 6 episodes. Sopranos is a show i would get into but they released season six first. Why dont studios start with the first seasons.

I agree 100% with you.

We do have some Shows starting with Season 1
Weeds Season 1 & 2 are out.
Prison Break Season 1 is coming in Nov. 13

I hear Weeds is great. (It's on my Netflix list)
I never cared for Prison Break, so that doesn't matter to me. I wish Fox pick 24 Season 1 to release instead.

Because tons of people already have the earlier seasons. Especially with the cost of authoring and production right now you need the volume of sales. It's far easier to sell people something they don't already have in some form.

Yup, what Wicky said.

Also 'new' material sells better.

Then again, on WB's mysterious 'big list' that hit a week or two ago, Season 1 was on there...

Well, honestly I already knew that, but on the other side there are people who haven't watched the show.

BAND-AID has a good example Sopranos. Both of us haven't watched the show yet.
I've also never watch Nip/Tuck & Rescue Me.

So there are three shows I'm not buying on Blu-ray.

I guess Possible new comers to a show are less than Current fans.

Getting back on Topic, I order Smallville Season 6 from Warner and they haven't ship it yet, so hopfully they'll ship it soon.

Mmm yeah, i noticed Smallville Season 1 in that list too...

I find it hard to believe really, seeing as season 1 is the only season of Smallville not edited together in HD, and would require some TOS style re-working, and I havent heard anything being done for Smallville.

S1 would need re-scanning and the special effects re-doing because it was post-produced in SD (all this is according to my research). S2+ was all post-produced in HD.
