Nice little dig at the end, *******! Way to have a go at me in a thread that's almost a month old.

Obviously supporting a format is not a neutral stance, but how is supporting both formats not neutral. It's not a difficult premise.........well, not for normal people.

All these posers are just weak-kneed "bastids" anyway. As for me, I'm putting on my long cleats and digging in. My family is RIGHT HERE! I just need to win the frickin' lottery so I can buy more movies! I'm NOT going to settle for second-rate soft/hard ware!! Screw all those scardy-cats over on the "Digest."

Like all poor debaters, you argue a point I was never making. I was merely referring to your comments at him, which were off point. I never said that people supporting both were somehow biased. You can twist it however you like though, and then proceed to claim that I'm the one doing the twisting.

You answered your own question. In a world where information is power and has to be correct 100%, using a word such as Neutral to describe yourself when purchasing not just one format, but both - is incorrect. You therefore forfeit your use of the word because it does not describe who you are.

Neutral means you support neither format. Format neutral would mean you DO NOT purchase either Blu or Red and should stay with DVD. So, when you do say you are format neutral in terms of HD, you really are because you still buy DVD.

If this were a court case - there would be no question that those sporting the "neutral" tag where just the opposite.

The poor debater comment is amusing enough, but not as comical as you claiming that I am doing any type of "twisting". I actually wasn't aware I was in a debate, especially on a comment I made almost a month ago. Since you seem to have some misguided issue with my use of the word "supporting", maybe you could offer a suitable replacement for the word. Otherwise, I guess we can keep going round and round with your little game of "twister".

Ok, since you and I sorted this mess out almost a month ago, I'll keep this civil. If neutral is not the correct word for someone who purchases for both formats, what is?

An Enthusiast.

I am unaware of any other word that would describe someone that buys into both formats. So if you know of a better word, please let me know.

You're right everyone is bias.

Anyone who says they're neutral, here's a question for you.
How many Blu-ray do you have?
How many HD-DVD do you have?

If the answer is equal than you're Neutral, if the number is greater in one of theses than you're bias towards that one.

A format enthusiast, LOL, right on pal.

I actually don't give two shits about continuing this topic, I'm good with saying format neutral and apparently others are too. Can't really see why it gets people's panties in such a wad. I just don't like bringing up supporting HD-DVD in anyway because I don't want to get banned

I really don't care if neutral is use for people who buy both Blu-ray and HD-DVD movies.

Yeah, I got it.

The whole thread is a joke if you have not caught on I could care less - but to make a point, neutral isn't the right word.

But, carry on

neu·tral /ˈnutrəl, ˈnyu-/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[noo-truhl, nyoo-] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–adjective 1. not taking part or giving assistance in a dispute or war between others: a neutral nation during World War II.
2. not aligned with or supporting any side or position in a controversy: The arbitrator was absolutely neutral.
3. of or belonging to a neutral state or party: neutral territory.

So, to those that say they are "Neutral", your not. You support both sides. To be "Neutral", you need to stick with DVD's

Nuff said, thanks for reading.
great point, most "neutral" people are 'hddvd fanboys' in disguise. They want to think they are neutral but they are not. They know they are losing and they want company. I'm sticking with Blu and Blu only!!
