The scene with the Lamia and the goat felt a little out of place to me due to the effects a bit. I too hope for a sequel where Christine finds a way to
[Show spoiler]get out of Hell.

Watch John Carpenter's The Thing, you will see why Practical effects work so well in Horror (I agree though, the cgi in this film was not at all fake looking when you consider the Budget)

I just saw the Thing and I must say, the practical effects in that movie looked 100% fake to me and kind of took me out of the movie a bit.

It's not that they are fake but they are cringingly painful, and when does CGI ever look real in Horror movies?

Maybe I need to watch the Thing again, I didn't like it much the first time I saw it. I've always loved DmTH though, probably in large part because of Allison's performance.

I just liked it because it was silly and actually scary

I like non-CGI over CGI generally,but this is the first time I heard of CGI in DmTH. Didn't spot it when I saw it.

Also love The thing by Carpenter.Will be interesting to see the prequel.

here's my vision of it,
[Show spoiler]she finds a way to communicate with justin that there is a way for him to get her out of the curse and out of hell and he finds the way to get it done. don't you watch movies, there's always a way out of something;
those movie writers can always find a way! i just think it was good enough to have a sequel.

[Show spoiler]My guess is the condition will be in order for her to leave, he will have to go but they won't know that until after it happens.

This movie was a big let down for me.

Not funny nor scary, and the parts where they tried to make it suspenseful and tense just failed on so many levels.

2/5

the only reason it doesn't get a two is because it was good to see the female lead to finally get killed.

Horror movies don't normally make you laugh, but this one did for me...
