I think you need to direct the challenge to them and not us though.

My opinion
I think the show is 100% real because about 90% of the stuff they debunk! If they were out to fool people there would be quite a bit more "unexplained". Now that international one or whatever it is that runs around scaring themselves constantly then yeah I could see that....but Grant and the guys seem to do a pretty good job. I just wish they would get more time at a site instead of like 7 hrs or so.....would like for them to spend a week at some locations. Do they fake stuff? I have no idea..but they seldom have any real concrete evidence of anything and debunk most everything, and I find it pretty entertaining.

Ive watched these shows a few times and they are ridiculous... they show all this crap... noises... movement etc etc... then at the end they basically say its not a ghost or this and that.. never seen an episode where they actually caught footage of anything.... so i stopped watching

The show is called Ghost Hunters but much of what they're doing is just anomaly hunting. They, like most other paranormal invetigators, look for strange things which they can interpret as evidence of the paranormal. That's why they use all of that equipment. A thermal readout says nothing about ghosts because there is not a connection between heat and ghosts. Same thing with the EMF meter. There is no reason to think EVPs are anything more than auditory pareidolia.

Short of capturing an actual ghost on camera they're just trying to a.) look busy/sciency and b.) build a case based on circumstantial evidence. The issue I have with their investigations is that they take for granted causal relationships that have not been practically established (i.e. ghosts cause cold spots). That's why the most you will ever get out of anomaly hunting is not conclusive evidence, but a collection of anomalies.

I really like the show, but I must admit they have yet to show me ANYTHING that makes me say "Yep, that there is a ghost" Do they have some abnormal things happen.....yeah, but I also think its T.V.(they set it up) Like the guy above me said, I like the fact that they debunk A LOT of stuff, which does give the show some crediblity.(sp) Real or not I like the show

I like the show, if its fake, its done well, its not like the the UK ghost show where its just green night vision shots of peoples faces going "what was that?" and their bug eyes.

Can be faked? anything can be faked. The real question is, does the show entertain you? if not, sweet as, don't watch it, the button on the remote is just one finger move away

I believe the show will only appeal to those who like Paranormal stuff, I mean, if you liked the film, 'Paranormal Activity', I don't see why you wouldn't like this show. 'Ghost Hunters', the title itself, is pretty straight forward.

Yeah but that video is 100% proof they are fake but it doesn't matter to me anymore i stopped watching after i seen that video, I'm just trying to encourage people not to believe everything they seen on TV.

But if you like the show then good thats great enjoy it, I'm not gonna try a shove my opinion down people's throat about it like some do here at Blu-ray.com.

I've been to numerous "haunted" places. One allegedly haunted hotel I even caught the owner scratching on walls to scare people. Never experienced one ghost. It's pathetic how easy it is to get people to believe ridiculous thingsl ike ghosts.

Well watching the show is certainly more fun than reading a book.

I don't really know when the show is on (I don't watch any TV shows regularly), but if I happen to be flipping through the channels and see it on, sometimes I'll sit and watch it, because I find it somewhat entertaining.

Well lets see...we would start with The Stanley "Shining" Hotel. Judging from your avatar...you probably know the significance. I work 4 miles away from it. I've investigated that historic hotel with Jason & Grant many times.
As for never seeing anything...it's only a matter of time. It took me about 5 years before I saw something legitimate. I hate to say it...chances are...it will happen when you least expect it.

Stayed there in the summer of 2002 for 2 nights with my wife and kids...never saw anything but it was a long couple of nights because the kids were scared after hearing the ghost stories and walking down in the basement area's looking around. It sure was great sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs as the sun was going down.
