yeah, Moviestop purchase here as well. Traded in some old DVDs and walked out with it for a little over 7 bucks. Not bad for a future comedy cult classic.

Amazing movie. Used store credit at Moviestop, didn't pay a dime for it.

Picked up my Blu ray copy at Best Buy here in Canada.

They didn't have many copies, maybe 10-15 at the most.

Found it at Wal-Mart.

I find it funny that Best Buy didn't have it, but Wal-Mart with their pathetic Blu inventory did.

I went to Best Buy today, and not only did they not have Black Dynamite, but they didn't have any of the Criterions or the StudioCanals. Then I went to Hastings, and neither did they. Why does buying Blu-Rays have to be some a complete clusterfrak?

Best Buy is also getting Coco Before Chanel, which is another very limited release title from Sony.
Actually, my Best Buy didn't have any of the new Criterin blu's.

it doesnt have to be, use the internet. i buy 99% of my blus online, its more convenient and usually cheaper than any b&m store.

They're a bookstore, not a multimedia retail giant, so they don't buy in bulk to where they can pass along the savings. Instead, they stick closer to MSRP's.

I know, and I do buy most of my Blus online. But on Tuesdays, I like to be able to go into a store and peruse the new releases, but more and more lately they either didn't get any of the titles I wanted (like today) or they've already sold out their shipment (like Zombieland).

Exactly, they have to stick closer to MSRP, otherwise they'd be losing $. They don't do the volume to warrant accurate competitive pricing compared to the giants, BB, AMZ, etc.

FWIW, the whole 'club' thing always confused me I dont like having to pay annually for discounts, that are already cheaper everywhere else..for free...there has to be better marketing techniques than that, regardless, at least they do often have lesser popular titles in stock for those that cant wait.

It's a very silly movie but Sony's ridiculous overpricing isn't worth it for any movie. Moon I had to make the quick buy before that slipon went OOP but that's about it. Got that for 23 or 22.

As for BD, it's totally hilarious but the action is fun. It's a fun movie, if it hits 15 dollars it's definitely worth the buy.

I'm going to see if Wal-Mart has this in stock. If not, then Amazon it is.

Funny thing in all of this, is that they will never do the sales at their prices...Kinda funny.... Double edged sword.
