Yeah, Ico did that to me too, especially after a certain cutscene. My first time through Demon's Souls had a similar effect.

Excellent news! I've never beaten them nor have I ever played ICO. Bring on more HD conversions of classic games to the PS3.

Look at it this way, we haven't had a game from SCEJ since Siren(?) and now we are set to get this, TLG, GT5 and a Minna no x in the next 6-12 months.

Porting over SotC was always going to be a challenge but I can't help but feel they've been dragging their feet with this and it should be available much sooner.

my only concern is the date. The rumor says early 2011. I figured it would come out prior to The Last Guardian, but that would push that release back to 2011 instead of the expected 2010.

Day 1 buy for sure. Shadow of the Colossus was the best ps2 game ever.

I'm on board for this one. I don't really like the way PS2 titles look upscaled through the PS3. And standard definition just doesn't cut it on a 67" TV anymore...

I've beaten both games probably 15 times overall. I would buy an HD version of the games to support more like it but I don't think it would make me enthusiastic to play it. A barren HD world is still a barren world, without new animations and techniques its still going to look dated.

Its all good news for those who haven't played the games before, but be warned even though the games have their fans, they are definitely an acquired taste. Perfect for me....

Let hope that Ueda at least adopts the game engine of TLG into the older titles. Then I'm in for sure.

I'd rather not to be honest. But I'd love an update that restores the PS2 BC trough software emulation. Gamestop sold me the wrong 80 used gig PS3 and by the time I found out it was to late to return it.

I could if I still had the original receipt, I had to return Infamous cause it wouldn't work. Think they could do something by the serial number? My friend Megan thinks so (She works for gamestop) cause they keep track of all that.

Infamous? That should definitely work, if that didn't work then they may have sold you a dodgy unit in which case you are well within your rights to ask for a refund, used or not.

The issue here is this.

I traded my 360, 27 games, wifi attachment, etc all to gamestop and bought a PS3. I asked for used 40 gig that had BC, they didn't have one even though the website said they did. So I asked for one that had BC, one of the first 80 gig models.

Did the exchange, got Infamous, MGS 4 & Super Street Fighter 4. So the next day I pop in Infamous and it was acting funny constantly freezing and sometimes not reading. Returned that and a 3 foot receipt along with it.

I no longer have that original receipt or anything to bargin with gamestop with. So even if I did complain, I know one of their tactics to avoid anything would be to ask me "Do you still have that original receipt?" which I don't. That's the problem here, I asked for BC PS3 and didn't get one.

OK, the game was faulty and they now have the receipt. Difficult one. Take the serial number and the barcode number to them and they should have a record of the sale on their system, if you paid by credit card take that with you and they might be able to do something for you. If not, then you may have to try something else. Magazine racks are always a good bet...

I'll have to try that. I really wanted BC and they told they had it, I'm trying to find a number now.

Know what's weird? I'm on the phone with the district manager for 10 minutes and he says he'll look into it, I might even be able to trade in this PS3 for one with BC.
