Don't studios usually give you a little more breathing room between the release of a TV show's previous season on DVD/Blu and the start of the new season? With 'Fringe' there were just 9 days separating the release of season 1 on DVD/Blu and the start of season 2 on TV.
I agree. As I said in another thread about Fringe, I have to record Season 2's episodes until I get caught up. A lot of others get released about a month before the next season starts. I will get caught up eventually, but I do agree that they should have released it sooner.

I've just finished episode 11, and while I had been enjoying the series, it's become REALLY, REALLY good now. The intensity and excitement levels have been kicked up a few notches. Can hardly wait to see the rest of the episodes!

Wait til Season 2 Episode 1! I just had a chance to watch it yesterday on the PvR. It was somewhat slow until the end, then it blew my mind!

Can't wait til tomorrow night!

Haha, it kind of seems like a complete rip off of X-Files..

Default Fringe Season 1 is reference quality in PQ!

The image on this set is stunning. I would definitely say it is reference quality. Warner has done an amazing job with this FANTASTIC show.

AQ is on dolby digital 5.1 but it still is a damn good one

Warner thumbs up. Lets hope season 2 will get DTS HD Master or TrueHD. And maintains this stunning PQ

I was actually watching this today on my 1080i screen and it looked pretty impressive. I watched the show when it first aired and the Blu does improve the PQ.

Anyone think its very weird in "The Casting of Fringe" featurette. That all are mentioned and i mean ALL. Except Joshua Jackson he is not shown and they do not say anything about how he was casted and they don't show. Since he is one of the 3 MAJOR characters

i think this is pretty damn weird wouldn't you guys say?

maybe he could not make it the day the featurette was recorded...

and i think the other actors actually mentioning him but him not being there would draw more attention than no mention of him at all...

of course for fans (and most people buying the blu-ray set will be fans) it will stick out like a sore thumb

Yeah a big thumb. Its really weid sure they had audition tape with him and could talk about why he was cast as Peter Bishop. But there is nothing. And even on the description on the menu for the feature it says get to know the cast Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, John Noble. ect.
But he is not even mentioned in the feature it is really weird

the PQ in fringe is great but they should of done more work with the AQ. Its lossy and not very detailed.

+1 I wasn't' happy about that either. I'm looking forward to season 2. I still haven't finished 1 yet though lol. Hopefully we get that lovely $27.99 price for black friday.

Agreed, AQ is nothing to write home about - but it could be that the source is nothing spectacular, either, and they wanted save all the disc space for the phenomenal video... I swear, in a few early episodes I felt like I could have just stepped into Boston, can't remember the last time I've felt like that.

+2. PQ is great, but AQ is a little spotty. I am really looking forward to Season 2, I just finished watching Season 1 about a week or so ago, and it was awesome! Great show! Can't wait for Season 2, hopefully we will get a release date soon!
