.
I'd love an Alyssa Milano edition... OK, she's too young in this one, but stick in some Embrace of the Vampire footage and we're golden.

Absolutely, i would love to see a new transfer but i'll lay money on this being the same transfer that's already out there at present.

Goodfellas comes to mind.

No, it can't look "better" than what it looks like at its core. Any improvements between an old and new version will not be as great as people assume, short of digitally tweaking with excessive noise reduction and other manipulations. I've explained about a thousand different times why Predator looks as it does (and the information about the hows and whys of the editing tricks originally came from me), but it seems like people will never understand that not all films are created equally.

As for what treatment Blu-ray requires and demands... it requres and demands that films look as good as they can... not the other way around. Meaning, I love Blu-ray because it can offer me the best of what Predator is supposed to look like and not a Predator that suddenly looks like Corpse Bride simply because the Blu-ray technology allows for that.

That's the biggest misconception about the format. Blu-ray isn't a barometer for how good a movie should look, but a tool to allow it to do so to the best of its photography and stylistic ability.
This post is from an insider.

Predator: C'mon, do it. DO IT! C'mon, BUY ME, I'M HERE BUY ME Edition.

Jokes aside, looking forward to this release, as long as they don't absent mindedly ignore the sequel, like how we have Terminator 2: Skynet Edition but no The Terminator or Terminator 3 in any such glorious editions.

Hopefully they can make the fans happy with this edition, but it's the same price as a normal Blu-Ray so I'm not expecting a megaset thing.

Since its a catalog title it will be region free this time round. The older version was released when they had more strict region locking policies.

Fox in the UK have been very good with making catalog titles region free compaired to Fox in the US.

Personally, I'm totally pissed off with the inequality with FOX US locking their back catalogue titles and then leaving the same catalogue titles in the UK/Ireland region free
