There's no way I will be able to afford the Alien set, as much as I'd like it. I wish they released an abbreviated set with only the first 4 discs (the movies) for a lower price. I'm a fan, but I doubt I'd every watch those final 2 discs.

If you search for best films of 1985, I'm sure Back to the Future is tops on most all the lists. It was a pivotal film release, one that has stuck with me.
I don't doubt that this film has made an impact on people and filmmaking in general, but I just don't like it as much as many people do. I didn't even like it when I was way younger and first saw it. Rewatched it years later, still didn't like it that much.
Just not my cup of tea, I guess.

I've had Hollywood screenwriters guest lecture our screenwriting classes and one of the scripts that they usually mention is the BTTF screenplay.
Perfect setups and perfect payoffs, excellent story arcs, and character interaction. A model for any fantasy film in terms of storytelling style and structure.

I don't think the screenwriting is bad, just not my type of movie.
As a whole, I just didn't find that movie to be as great as everyone told me it was.

In for all three. And yes, it feels awful painful.

So glad I have $30.00 worth of Best Buy reward certificates that don't expire til the end of October.

Getting the Back to the Future Trilogy for sure. Alien Anthology is a maybe with so much else coming out around then. Like Beast, Best Buy Reward Zone certificates will definitely come in handy for me as well.

Looks like I will probably dropping a little over a hundred bucks that day. I'll have to remind myself to set a little bit of money aside for it.

My vote goes to Star Wars, since I havent seen any of it yet, and excited too.

I'll get BTTF one day, but might wait for it to go cheap. Havent decided. Realized a couple days ago I never watched my BTTF DVD set either. LOL.

Never been an Alien fan.

Agreed. My birthday is the 27th. I'll be getting the Back to the Future set and Y: The Last Man Vol. 4 (Deluxe Edition) on the 26th as a birthday present to myself. I'm hoping someone gives me the Alien Anthology as a gift. Anyone?

Buying both the Alien Anthology and the Back to the Future Trilogy, but former is the priority. I'll also finally be able to have a 1080p avatar instead of a 480p avatar.
