I'll probably grab it once it hits $10.00
its remastered so it should look much better

I picked this up yesterday. I had never seen it but for the price and the cast I thought what the hell I'll give it a shot. I hope it's good but I'm sure it is.

It's a 5-star flick. Clooney's best, Soderbergh's best, Cheadle's best... every single role in the film is perfectly cast, great music, great comedy, and Clooney and Lopez have excellent chemistry.

Oh, and
[Show spoiler]fun unexpected cameos by Michael Keaton and Samuel L. Jackson.

Glad to finally have this on blu! The original poster art is a plus. The DVD art was atrocious.

I can't really compare it to the rest of your collection since I don't feel like going through nearly 600 titles. I do think you should enjoy it though. It is a good movie in my opinion.

I like this film, but I already own the HD DVD from 2006. Did they just port the HD DVD to Blu-ray? Universal has a tendency to do that.

I just watched this again tonight and this film still holds up so well after 13 years. The cinematography is so amazing and one of my favorite films in that regard. So glad it finally made it to the blu ray format because it really deserved the upgrade.

+1. Definitely a great film, especially at the current sale price. I agree too, it held up very well.

Also, a fun little fact not everyone may have caught; from the random crossover department: Michael Keaton plays the SAME character here that he played in Tarantino's Jackie Brown.

I A-B'd them tonight. The Blu-ray looks better than the HD-DVD(and has lossless audio). Believe me, I was straining my eyes looking for the standard DNR job by Universal, but it's a terrific transfer. The Blu-ray is cleaner and sharper than the HD-DVD. That scene in the hotel bar with the snow in the background looks amazing.

BTW, the specs are identical to the HD-DVD. Deleted scenes, a featurette, and the audio commentary. Nothing new and the trailer is still missing.

If there's no screencaps posted later today I'll grab a copy from BB and put some up tonight for anyone on the fence.

Definately post a shot from the first scene of Foley in the bank before he goes up to the teller. The detail on his suit was surprising.

Thanks for your impressions on the BD quality up to this point. I bought it when released but haven't had a chance to watch it. NF does not have the BD to try it first if that was what you were going to do. With the price still $14.99 today, I'd nab it and decide later is my recommendation.

Random stuff. Note these are Jpegs and taken directly from TMT3 using the pause method so they're not perfect. The BD looks great to me. Even in the low light shots. A nice sheen of grain throughout. Goodbye DVD!

PS - J-Lo's wardrobe in this film = timeless. Style anyone?

The screenshots are much appreciated, but for anyone thinking they are less than impressive, I can say they don't do the disc's PQ justice. The film looks much crisper than this in person.
