^ They were going to be my next stop if i got no love from Amazon. Amazon have been brilliant - they've already posted out a replacement so i'll see how it fares.
I recieved the Superman Anthology box set today - it cost me a third of what The Persuaders set did and the packaging for the set is 100x better...strange.

Default Pics of my Set.

Mine wasn't in as bad condition as the previous images another member rec'd. However I can't stress how cheap the packaging is. The outer case is exteamly thin! the plushness of the set make it being crused for easier during shipping see image 3. I really expected something more sturdy.

^ Powell, you are so right about the packaging. For a set that is costing quite a bit i'm extremely disappointed in how it is presented. The Superman Anthology arrived yesterday, and it cost me a third of the Persuaders set, yet the packaging was sturdy and arrived without a scratch, dent or tear.

Was any of the digipak damaged? All the discs ok? More importantly - have you watched any of it yet?!?

My DIGI Packs were a bit smashed but not too bad. The First Disc in Each set was loose However they look perfect.

UPDATE:
I watched the first episode last nite. I thought it looked really good. I had nothing to compare it to since this was the first time I've ever seen the show. Low Lit scenes which didn't occur much on the episode do show grain, most of the show is filmed with bright lighting and colorful sets etc.

I don't regret the purchase at all. For those who have seen The Prisoner on BLU, or Space 1999 I would say this release is in the same league.

My replacement box set arrived, and this time it was in much better condition. There were a few minor bumps here and there, but nowhere near as much damage as last time! Me + the couch + TV =

Thanks for the pictures of the sets. Any screen caps from the episodes? I'm still trying to figure out what kind of modified blu ray player to pick up. I really do want to get the set on blu ray. I have the Network DVD set of the series.

Very cool. thanks again!

Any news about the audio format? The box doesn't say if it's DD, DTS or anything else.

Apologies for the 'newbie' question.

All the episodes have black bars down the left and right corners of the screen. I have tried adjusting the display settings to try and get full screen but no luck.

I'm surprised because the episodes were all full screen on the Special Edition DVD release, so I assumed they would be on the Blu Ray release.

I also had a set arrived with damaged packaging, but got a replacement set today. The outer box is still slightly creased on the top, but overall it's in better condition.

Has anyone managed to buy a set with no creases on the packaging?!

If you have your Blu-ray player set up to display the correct aspect ratio for 4:3 material then you'll have the bars down the left and right, most BD players I've come across don't let you change the settings to stretch the screen unless you change that option. If you played the DVD set on your DVD player it's possible the picture was stretched (I assume the DVD's were 4:3 as well).

If you want to change the pillarboxing effect change your BD settings or use the zoom function on your TV.

The DVDs were 4:3, as they should be.

I hope the easter egg featuring Tony Curtis dropping the c word is still present and correct.
