Which I think is especially hideous. I posted in the review thread there asking if that was the final artwork and the reviewer replied that it was, and the slipcover & case both have that artwork. Can anyone who's seen this or picked up a copy at BB confirm?

Paramount has been going photoshop crazy and not using original artwork lately. So it is probably the one High Def Digest has posted.

Picked up The Firm this morning from an end-cap at my Best Buy. Came with a slip cover. Love the new artwork for this one.

I got mine this morning the slip cover is that of highdefdigest. it rang up for 12.99 at the register

I've read the reviews online for this and the picture quality has been exceptional in most cases. What are some of your opinions on the film's look?

Watched the first 30 minutes this morning and it looks like a very good transfer. Dave Gruisin's piano score sounds fabulous too. Gonna watch the full movie tonight when I have more time. I just wish they would have made some deluxe version with extras because I have always liked the movie but never seen anything about the making of. It would especially be nice to hear a discussion as to why they changed the ending from the book. In general though, I would rather have a bare bones release that looks this good than a deluxe super duper release with a transfer that is messed up.

I always feel the original poster art should be used, but in this case - I like the new blu-ray cover much better

No thanks I said to myself after checking as I got enough mediocre catalog titles. I just picked up some of the other BDs on sale yesterday.

The PQ didn't get a bad rating here at all. In fact, it's a positive review.

I'm surprised by this. I just purchased it and found the picture quality to be awesome. None of the reviews I've read even came remotely close to referring to the transfer as being "mediocre." Definitely reconsider and pick it up, bud.

When will the Best Buy exclusivity expire and this BD be available from a wider range of retailers and e-tailers? I am Australian so would need import from Amazon.

Amazing that anyone would pass on this because they read one thing about PQ, which, if they read here, was certainly not a condemning review. However, I saw none of the "problems" spoken about here - in fact, The Firm on Blu-ray looks better than it ever did in the theater - it's a virtually perfect transfer - I can't see how it could be any better in any way, shape, or form.

It may be OOP as a Best Buy exclusive, but The Firm may get a blu-ray release nationwide in the near future.
