Samsung problems?

My friend recently bought a Samsung blu-ray player from Sears.He did some updates online but the player had problems playing some titles.Mostly Universal and Warner Brothers.He called Samsung and they sent him a firmware disc but the problem is still there.He called them back and was told that there should be a fix for the problem soon.Anyone else having this problem with Samsung?This is his first entry into blu-ray and he says he is disappointed so far.
