Wow, I'm envious. Don't forget to include Whippersnapper in your will.

Looking back to this June 2006 post you now have to realize that here's a poster who had some foresight!!

And it's still a valid response even today. Until the dust settles on the whole profile 1.1/2.0 thing, it's hard to justify gambling on any other player than the PS3.

Thanks!

I've found that I'm sitting about 85% or so with my predictions. I've held very firm and strong to very tired and worn out arguements since 2005 really.

This war isn't about picture quality, HD DVD has great quality across the board really. It is about studio and CE support... which leads to more consumer adoption and more retail support, especially with PS3 thrown in.

It may still take a year or two for some to realize that this is all that really matters, but it will happen.

I think my biggest irritation is that I was hoping that PS3 would come out with many more games that were much, much stronger than what was released, and has been since console launch. I still think PS3 will push the format early until 3rd generation and later products hit lower price figures which will bring in more J6P consumers.

I believe that was a prototype built in 2005. It will probably never see the light of day, at least not it its current incarnation.
