I'm glad the price on amazon isn't 60 bucks given how short the single player is. I'm still pumped for it!

When it comes to anime/manga, videogames, etc., it depends on the creator. I wouldn't call it a fetish though. More like a preference between school aged girls or 30 year-old women. There are even quite a few female creators that have been known to make cute schoolgirls or even sexy ones.

I'll just leave it at that.

I can't wait to get the Saeko Busujima outfit! Is it actually in the game or was that a pre-order bonus?

No it wasn't a pre-order bonus. It's probably either accessable when you go further into the game or paid DLC. I know all of the Anime costumes are on the disc, but just not sure if it's unlocked normally or you will need DLC to obtain it.

Apparently all the costumes are free and unlocked in game.

Juliet’s list of additional apparel includes:

Sexy American Casual – This sexy get-up leaves little to the imagination.
American Cheerleader Costume – Show ‘em how much you love freedom in this cheer outfit.
Purple Pride Uniform – Visiting team alternate uniform.
Date Night Outfit – Great for a date with your body less soul mate.
Bunny Costume – Juliet’s bunny doll is slightly worse for wear.
Crash Helmet – Approved by the Department of Transportation.
Cordelia’s Costume – Calm, cool, collected – Cordelia’s killer style.
Rosalind’s Costume – Rosalind’s slickest outfit on-lend to Juliet – Dry clean only.
Dad’s Costume – Expert zombie hunter lounge wear.
Mom’s Costume – Sexy MILF clothes straight from Mom’s closet.
Japanese Maid Costume – Cleaning up a zombie mess has never been more appropriate.
Sexy Rider Suit – Pink leather jumpsuit with a strategically placed zipper.
Busujima Saeko Costume – Busujima Saeko’s costume from High School of the Dead.
Haruna Costume – Haruna from Is This a Zombie?
Shiro Costume – Shiro’s costume from Deadman Wonderland.
Manyu Chifusa Costume – Samurai costume from Manyu Scroll.
Miyamoto Rei Costume – Miyamoto Rei’s costume from High School of the Dead.
Striped Bikini – A beach staple, perfect for those hot summer days.
Sexy Seashell Bikini – Mermaids got nothing on Juliet.

That is pretty awesome considering how numerous games charge for extra costumes...*cough* Capcom.

I did get a Pin Up outfit for pre-ordering with Amazon. Not sure if there were some others.

That is a good thing that the outfits can be attained in-game. I played a little today...silliness ensued.

It' kinda hard on hard. Similarity ti Batman makes it so. It's a different pace to get used to. I can not tell when the zombies are going to strike.

I had mine pre-ordered through Bestbuy.com for the Goth Girl and Foxy Funk DLC Costumes. Plus I know Gamestop had its own costumes if you pre-ordered through them.

Just picked this one up, and I've been having a blast so far! The humor is goofily appealing when it's not laugh-out-loud funny, the visuals are pleasing, and the action is fun and already addictive!

Very glad I got this, but wish I had pre-ordered for the costumes.

If anyone has a DLC code they would be willing to sell for a fair price, PM me.

After playing this for a few hours now, I have to admit that it's growing on me. The humor is wittily idiotic and the setting is, well, fun. I enjoy the music (Bodom on the Viking stage was a pleasant surprise) and the extreme devotion to silliness. The graphics and gameplay, though, could use some polish. While the artists clearly spent some time modeling Juliette, everything else is a bit spotty and lacking in detail. Still, like Dragon's Dogma, the other flawed game I just bought, I just can't stop playing the damned thing.

How similar is this to Bayonetta? If it's similar, I know I'll love it.

It's goofy like Bayonetta, and much, much wittier. But gameplay-wise, it's much shallower. The gameplay is probably the weakest part of the game. Juliet is more likable than Bayonetta, and the game itself is likable, but if you want the complicated mechanics of a Bayonetta, you won't find them here.

Bayonetta isn't goofy. Bayonetta is more better compared to Devil May Cry than Lollipop Chainsaw.

I'm guessing he means goofy in terms of all the hyper sexualized stuff. the cheesecake/fan service aspects would come across as goofy to most non anime fans.

I of course could be wrong. But in that regard i'd bet they are similar. after all bayonetta wore her own hair and any real attack would leave her naked. and with LC she is jumping around in a cheerleading outfit or less depending on what you have unlocked.

she'd get the zombie virus just from all the blood splattered on her bare skin lol.

I had zero interest in this game until I found out it was written by James Gunn. Now it's an absolute must-own.

Exactly, I meant pleasantly goofy. Both games are purposefully over the top.

Well maybe, but I guess I wouldn't know since afterall, I see fanservice in shows I watch every single day as well as other videogames I enjoy that have more fanservice than both Bayonetta and Lollipop Chainsaw combined.

So like for me, Bayonetta doesn't really have much fanservice at all except for maybe when she seems to like doing all of that stuff with her hair.

It's cool. I lived in Tokyo for a while, anime central, but even so I never really got into it. So Bayonetta, to me, felt a little...much. (Though not when compared to the Sailor Moon dating sims I tried at the Sega arcades. Now those had some fan service!...Maybe, ah, a little too much.)

I'm guessing you must have seen some Yuri moments and almost but not quite nudity moments. But even then, there are videogames and Anime that can have a whole lot more fanservice no matter if it's a Hentai or not with ones they can even have full nudity.

But kind of strange for there to be a visual novel game for Sailor Moon since the only ones I know of are like fighting, RPG, beat'em ups, puzzle and quiz games. And kind of strange to have a dating sim visual novel game at an arcade.

It was tucked away in the corner, but there were other dating sims near the more crowded areas. The entire arcade had four or five floors, with rhythm games (most featuring taiko (sic?) drums) taking up the bulk of the first floor, while shooters (the top-down scrollers that the Japanese kids loved to show off upon) and fighting games had their own sections. The arcade was in Akihabara, and had what seemed like a thousand cabinets, so the Sailor Moon game was relatively deserted.
