You are in for a huge upgrade because the Armageddon DVD isn't enhanced for 16x9 TVs.

I know, I know.... and I've almost bit a couple times. But I know I'm keeping the Criterion one for the features, and I hate to buy a blu if I know I'm going to keep the DVD as well unless I get it super cheap. If I see Armageddon for $10 or less, I'll probably grab it.

Isn't it $14.99 at BB? Just use the coupon and get it for $10.

I've always felt this was one of Bays worst (If not Worst) film. Seen it twice. Once in theaters and once DVD rental and it could have been 30-45 minutes shorter. Aside from Bays splended action sequences Will Smiths character was the same as the original while Martin Lawerence put on too much weight and had mid life crises type of character going on. Almost felt like a rip-off of Danny Glovers Lethal Weapon character.

In fact the first film wasn't all that great either. The only saving grace for me was the quick wit dialogue between the lead actors which has been address was ad libbed from the original script in which even Bay stated was poorly written. He knew it was a bad script so they did there best to spice it up.

Never the less it's cool to have this film hit blu ray as I'm sure a lot of action junkies are looking to upgrade.

I'm guessing it's from another site and they just haven't posted it yet here. It is very common for this site to report a release after it has already been announced elsewhere.

Yeah, I once held off on buying the Blu-ray because of the lack of Criterion features as well. Weirdly enough, The Rock Blu-Ray had its features ported over from the Criterion Edition.

But, there's no shame in keeping the DVD and buying the Blu-ray. The picture and sound is worth the purchase.

Speaking of holding off, I'm wondering when there is going to be a release of the DC of Pearl Harbor. A much better cut of the film. IMO.

This! I did it with both Armageddon Criterion dvd & Escape From NY SE dvd.
Not to derail too much, sorry about that.
So hopefully we'll see this released @ $17.99. Hope it gets a slip like the first one did.

Still waiting on a price drop myself for armageddon. It has been consistently at 19.99 at BB near me. I always check, kind of annoying b/c it is a 12 or 13 year old movie. Drop already !

I know when its gonna drop, a week after i buy if for 19.99. Happens with all the movies i buy

You can always use the $5off coupon. Unless $14.99 is too high.
Maybe this BF it will drop @ the $10 mark!

I truly hope all the DVD special features will be available on this Blu-ray, since there is not a huge amount of stuff anyway...
