A LOT of people have been waiting for this generation of consoles to drop down to $199 for a long time. That's when the PS2 got most of it's sales. That's long been considered the "sweet spot"

It beats staying at $299, but if Sony really wanted to set the tone for the holiday season I think going to $199 would be the right move.

I am sure many people will give the speech about how great a value the PS3 is at $249 (and I agree its a GREAT value), but at this stage of the game people care most about price and those concerned with value already own a PS3.

Oh well, I already own a PS3 and its possible that economic realities might not make a drop to $199 possible, but I felt that Sony had a huge opportunity to really punch the 360 in the gut but all they did was jab and leave themselves open to a counterpunch.

Well maybe it will be $199.99, we won't know for sure until later today. Probably gonna be $249.99 but we can hold out hope until the press conference.

Battlefield looked amazing it reminded me alot of rainbow six. I was hoping for a battlefield demo announcement also I noticed they still have not shown 360 footage

Battlefield 3 on the PS3 looks great.

I'm still a little sad the way you stab people now though... the animations take waaaay too long, I want the Bad Company style stabbing to come back, just to be more responsive.

Coincidence? I just had an email through from Tesco Entertainment here in the UK.

They have a £5 off promo for BF3 and MW3. The intresting part is that MW3 is now listed for release as 28th October day and date with BF3. Gamescom announcement imminent?
