Canada No Problem (in my experience)

Yes, I've ordered from Amazon-UK (and Germany, France, etc) for many years now, and never had any problem. Shipping was usually faster than within Canada . There are three things to keep in mind, though.

1) Shipping costs/time. When comparing to local, take these into account.
2) Blu-ray is a worldwide standard (with a few 1080i exceptions), but the Extra's are often in SD, which is in the PAL-format in Europe, compared to the NTSC-format in North America. Make sure your player/display can deal with it, or your player can concert it, or accept the fact that you may not be able to watch the Extra's.
3) Region-free, or not (if you haven't made your player multi-region yet; see other topics on that). The best website IMHO that I used over the past few years is: bluray.liesinc.net (warning: very slow loading).

Have fun expanding your BD library

Considering BB uses slow shipping, I'll probably get this on the 15th or 16th.

Will BB even be shipping this on Friday because of the holiday? I'm personally going to the store right at open on Friday, but it would be good to know for people who are relying on shipping.

How come some of you here aren't picking up at a nearby store instead of having them shipped? I'm going to run out and get mine during lunch on Friday.

Thinking I'll return Part 1. $23 is a good price for a 3D title, but it's still a lot more than the 2D version is selling for. I'll keep the 3D Part 2 and get the 8 film collection from Amazon UK for $47.

Anyone notice a shot in Part 2 that just murders your eyes? It's the over the shoulder shot of Neville doing the speech to the Death Eaters and the students. It seems to make your eyes go cross-eyed and put a huge amount of strain on them. It's strange because I didn't notice it in the cinema and I guess they didn't pick up on it either on post.

Just read the reviews and indeed, the 3D effects of Part 2 were better and more effective than in Part 1. I just watched both movies back to back today and you can see the difference in depth perception and pop-out effects between Part 1 and Part 2. I give Part 1 3/5 and Part 2 4/5 rating in terms of the 3D experience. Also, the 2.40:1 aspect ratio doesn't allow me to have an immersive experience of the film in 3D in my 55" 3D TV (time to invest in a 3D projector soon but I have no room for it right now). I prefer a 1:78:1 aspect ratio of 3D films like they did with Avatar which had a 2.39:1 original aspect ratio but released in Avatar 3D Blu in 1.78:1 ratio.

I didn't notice this part when I watched it today. I'll have to watch this scene again.

I noticed it too. It looks like the image reverted back to 2d and your looking at a 2d image through a window. I"m not sure if I remember that in the theatrical version. Might be a problem with the disc transfer.

Oh well, the 3d image for the film overall for me was really good. Love the shot of the dragon popping out of the wall and snapping it's jaws towards the screen!

Ha... I was watching through this today - having read this post on here previously, but not remembering that I read it on this site. Luckily I found it again so knew I wasn't just imagining sh*t Yup... It's there on my copy (Aus) as well. Does indeed look like it reverts back to 2D for that shot only (albeit recessed into the screen), then back to 3D in the shot following. Random, and definitely wasn't like that at the cinema!

pt 1 3D was showing up as 17.99 in the store today when I went to get the price match. As I was leaving I noticed they had tags up that said on sale 17.99, if any of you want to get it before black friday madness, or try to price match the original order. For me they gave me 5 dollars back

Saw this in hmv and thought the case was a lot thicker. A bit odd

It is a lot thicker, 25mm to be exact

Its because the case is flat on the ground
