[QUOTE=Dukefrukem;5291843]What are your thoughts on the top 10 BEST bly-rays to own? (Box Sets and multi-disc sets = 1 rank)

1. The Ultimate Matrix Box
2. Lord of the Rings Extended Box
3. Aliens Anthology Box
4. Avatar Extended
5. Blade Runner
6. Apocalypse Now Full Disclosure
7. Saving Private Ryan
8. Fight Club
9. Star Wars Saga Box
10. I wish there was a Pixar Box Set, but since there isn't I'd have to pick either Walle or The Incredibles.

wow that 22/23 movies right there.

Check The Amazon UK site....The Alien Anthology is much cheaper there and shipping is cheap.

As for my top 10 Blu's to own (not necessarily the 10 best movies, just so we're clear)

- Apocalypse Now (3 Disc Full Disclousure Edition)
- Alien Anthology
- Blade Runner (5 Disc Set)
- Bourne Trilogy Box set
- The Dark Knight
- District 9
- Michael Clayton
- Se7en
- The Thing
- Unforgiven

This has been my tried & true list for a while now....but Ip Man & Zodiac are gaining ground.

as long as there's no EE-infested Dark Knight on the list, I'm happy.

I like your reasoning. Some of the biggest surprises have come from recent restorations of classic movies brought back from the brink.

My top seven classic movie choices include the following Blu-Rays released and announced as upcoming:

Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
Cleopatra (1963)
How the West Was Won (1962)
My Fair Lady (1964)
The Sound of Music (1965)
The Ten Commandments (1956)
West Side Story (1961)

More recent movie choices to round up my top ten movies on Blu-Ray would include:
The Planet of the Apes - Collector's Set (Complete 5 Movies)
Star Wars - Collector's Set
(Complete 6 Movies)
Avatar - Extended Collector's Edition(2009)

I sure did, didn't I. We'll just have to make that list an uneven 11.

Thanks for pointing this out. I notice a lot of lesser priced box sets on the UK site versus the US site.

Leathal Weapon 1-4 is also only $25, same with the Matrix Trilogy and the Planet of the Apes 5 set.

No prob.......keep checking the site.....I usually find a few CD's & Blu's that are just to cheap to pass up. Last order 2 weeks ago was 3 Blu's & 2 CD's for @ $50 CDN.......2 of the Blu's alone were $50 together here.
