to be honest i really don't know why? the last time i used the PS3 was 2 weeks ago, because of exams and work. I tried my other discs today, and didn't have that problem. I am gonna try this tomorrow, take both discs back and exchange and see if it still has the same issue.

Default Report of BD+ comapatibility issue.

hey,

here is a link i found about several reports with BD+ compatibility issue. the good news is for those using PS3 as a bluray player, you don't have to worry, for some others, its either the player needs a firmware update and its on work, or your player won't play it.

Check it out.

Your drive just reads data. BD+ is a software only thing, so worry about PowerDVD

OK. my drive won't be affected. Thanks for the confirmation. I'm looking for cheap software right now. InterVideo WinDVD 8 is my favourite. I'll have a look at PowerDVD

I was wondering if anyone with one of the new Samsung BD-P1400's has tried any BD+ titles? If you have, any problems???

Default Latest Update on BD+ and BD-J

From paidgeek:

" have some recent information that the playability problems with TDAT and F4 are not related to BD+, but instead have to do with the Java support on the players in question. The firmware updates should resolve it."
in insider thread

BD+ is not the problem from taking too much to load, there are firmware upgrade on the road dont worry everything will be under control.

Already Sony release updates for their Standalone players and expect sooner or later for Samsung Players. Be happy people we have face it before in POTC and now with FOX titles ,this is technology we have to follow it .

Is your PS3 still taking 2 minutes to load the disc? Because most people are reporting that it loads fine with their PS3's.

well the first time it did. i just tried to check it. it doesn't as long as it used to be, but it is appx. around 20 to 25 secs. to load. which is why i was asking if the PS3 has a virtual memory, that it remembers the disc used.

Do any of you guys get the background animation on The day after tomorrow main menu when you first put the disc in? I use a PS3 on the latest firmware, and i have problems with the movie showing a black screen for a long time when i play it
