It wasn't a great finale, but what were they supposed to do? Obviously they don't want to kill Brodie off or there's really no show.

I liked the Brody ending much more than the Carrie ending. I thought her ending was way too contrived. As to Brody, I thought it was really well handled. It was just anti climatic considering the other way it could have gone. Great season and cant wait for s2.

I think it would have been bloody awesome if he had gone through with the attack, totally take the viewers by surprise, and have Season 2 dealing with the aftermath and have Tom Walker on the run again.

It's one of those frustrating series though.. as soon as she hooked up with Brody, it was like, "ok, what ever happens, no one will believe her and she will lose her job"..

Which was one of the brilliant things on the show. Giving Carrie a mental illness made a lot of the show work. If she is ur normal goody two shoes hero type character Brody doesnt stand a chance.

Homeland is this season's breakout cable show imo. It's been flying way under the radar though.

I was hoping for
[Show spoiler]another "mole/terrorist" in the bunker with them, an unknown wild card to even the viewer.

Just finished the finale.

It was a pretty good season. I think the series was a bit over-rated. While I was interested in watching, it just seemed like a bunch of other similar shows. The ending sort of felt a bit incomplete, but I also really liked it.

One question I have: In episode 10, Brody's wife mentions knowing that he had sex with Carrie. Did she just figure this out on her own, or did he tell her and somehow I forgot?

I hope there's a formal Blu-ray announcement soon.
How do you get shows recorded onto your cable box/DVR onto your computer?!

Also, just finished this season. Have been watching every episode with my mom, but due to girlfriend/baby/distractions, we haven't been able to keep up to date. Just sat down on demand and finished it.

I enjoyed the finale. Throughout it I kept trying to guess what was going to happen, and every time I would be wrong. Behind Lost, I think this may be my favorite tv series. Overrated? No way. The huge strong sense of paranoia and anxiety you get while watching this is unreal. I know the phrase "had me on the edge of my seat" is a little cliche, but it totally works. And to be able to evoke such feelings from me without any blatant violence and gore reminds me of Hitchcock. Everything is implied, the show works off mood and tone.

As far as Brody,
[Show spoiler]I wish he would have detonated the bomb. I was hoping beyond hope he would do it, so therefor Carrie would be able to say **** Off to all her bosses and people who didn't trust her. Now nobody will ever know, and she will forever be crazy. Plus, one of the biggest thrills in the first season was not knowing if Brody was a "terrorist" or not. It had me back and forth so many times. Keeping him alive at the end of this season, you know the answer, and I don't see how they can create another level of confusion for season two. I hope I'm wrong, and I hope they can expand and keep this series going.

Also, I heard this & Boardwalk Empire are Obama's two favorite shows. When this gets released on blu (can't believe you guys are even asking if!), it will be a day 1 purchase and rewatch for me.

Reading what u said about Obama I can just picture the president sitting home watching the finale and going
[Show spoiler] "Throw the swith! Com'on Brody, take out the whole worthless cabinet. Do it. Do it."

It isn't a confirmed thing. No one was saying it wouldn't be released on the format because of the quality of the show. It just depends on the studio and their decisions. I personally feel it will end up, but if it didn't, I wouldn't be surprised either.
